Looks like I was wrong, it’s only a $1000 difference in the US. Still, though!

Nice, I like both of those colors. I was shopping for a new car recently too. The Mazda 3 sedan with the turbo was one of my top choices also, but the local dealers didn't have any base models with the 2.5 turbo, just the higher spec versions.

I ended up getting a very lightly used VW Golf Alltrack this week.

Agreed. I love hatches (had a first gen MS3) but the current one just looks too awkward for me. Mostly that C pillar.

Oh man, my first car was a blue, '86, manual, Volvo 240DL wagon. My parents bought it new. Sold it with over 320k miles on it. Original engine and transmission.

There’s a reason that they’re called Swedish Tanks.

The clutch in this went from marginal to NOPE today. It started feeling funny in traffic, now it slips in third gear. It's a good-looking lawn ornament for a while (i'm impatient, so it'll probably be fixed in a week...).
I'm going to order a South Bend stage 2 daily driver organic clutch, should be more than enough for my current and potential future tuning.

I'll replace the rear main seal while I'm in there, should probably spend an extra $50 and just throw in a new release fork while i have the trans out.

From a few pages back but I'm proud to say over my 21 years in CO I did enough mountain driving to recognize that exact spot. Oregon has a lot of great twisty roads but your photos make me miss it there. And that blue looks awesome contrasted on white, even when the white is dirty with gravel.

Over Memorial Day weekend, I had one goal to hand wash all the cars since it had been a while since I've done it. I started with my wife's Atlas, then moved onto my XJ and my most recent purchase.

The Jeep came out looking so good, I actually put tire dressing on it. She shines up nicely for a 21-year-old car as long as you don't get too close. I'd love to give this one a full repaint someday.

The Jeep was my pandemic project and for a while was my only car. Once it started looking like I'd be moving back into my office (rather than working from home), it was time to start looking for a decent daily driver since I sold my 2018 allroad a few months ago. I didn't plan on getting into another allroad, but this deal fell into my lap and I couldn't pass it up. This car belonged to a friend of mine for the past 6 years, so I'm very familiar with it, though I'd never seen it (or met him) in person. The timing worked out well for both of us, so I flew to Pennsylvania in early April and drove it home to Minnesota over a weekend. This is my 4th allroad and my 10th Audi. Apparently I am stuck in a rut of Audi wagons and old Cherokees.

First order of business was to get my roof box (re)painted to match, of course. (Don't shame me, I actually use it regularly.)

I installed a CarPlay unit from RSNav because I can't go back to a car without CarPlay now. Even the Cherokee has it.

This car has had a full S-line alcantara interior swap as well as tons of other goodies. I'll be swapping in a black headliner once the last of the parts arrive. I'll also be putting on a set of flush roof rails from a B8 Avant while the headliner is out.

Future plans include finding a set of carbon fiber interior trim and a few sets of wheels, of course. I want to swap an S4 drivetrain in someday, but that's a long term goal and not on my radar at the moment unless a cheap donor car pops up. I've got a couple buddies who have swapped in the 4.2 V8 from an RS5, but the S4's 3.0T has more tuning options.

Bonus pic with my previous blue allroad and another local buddy:

Here's mine:

There's a kit for it - basically, a new surround for the whole area. You have to cut into the sub-dash, which is actually the HVAC vents, but it's not too bad to do.

edit: Unless you meant the Audi thing, but if I recall correctly, you own more Jeeps than Audis :D
