How many save files in a jrpg do you guys keep

Only one in any normal playthrough, unless I decide to do some experimental science or if I know a branching path is coming up that I want to be able to come back to later. Like in P5 I made a save in November to see if I did nothing but read books if it would be possible to finish them all, so I made a separate save where I played out that month and then reloaded my main save after I got the achievement. But otherwise, never, only one save.

No, they're basically exactly the same game with some minor differences like how the skill tree unlocks work

Two when I can so I can make sure I see the times after I save to make sure it saved because I'm extremely paranoid.

That game was loving rad. Sea of thieves just never had enough to do for me, its basically fortnite with boats.

An MMO with Sea of Thieves boat and ocean mechanics would rule.

As many saves as possible. Although I always start in slot 2 if it is a three slot based system. If it is more than three then I pick the slot second from the bottom.

IIRC police in Japan are nowhere near as bad as they are in the west. Still an impossible situation though.

NANI?

They generally don't have guns to shoot people with but they'll grab the closet person to a crime scene, 'find' some 'evidence' and then keep them locked up for a couple of days without needing to charge them with anything until they 'confess'.

That's very disappointing for an ending. Especially after what happens to the protag I mean he is convicted of a crime with zero proof, and then he is beaten up, tortured, and blackmailed by the cops. I don't like Persona 5 in general and bounced off the game a number of times, so never reached the ending.

i think thta reading of the ending is extremely uncharitable imo it wouldve been better and cooler if the game ended with all cops being disbanded etc. no can deny this. however it was also never going to end that way and the fictional idea of fixing everyones hearts so the cops arent evil is better than 90% of games manage anyway

Ending on a letter writing campaign and asking your friend's sister, the Good Cop, to solve your problem is just so unspeakably lame that I would have preferred no coda at all tbh. Just, kill God roll credits would have been better imo

Would have been nice if this was the game from the start. The Royal edition really screws over everyone who bought the game originally, and at least invested a lot of time in the game even if they didn't finish it. Starting over again is a massive slog with Persona 5, plus it was another $60 at launch.

Yep. I think P4G gets away with it because it was a new platform and you can't just add stuff to a PS2 game but not offering Royal as DLC is an absolute dirt move, no matter how much stuff it ended up adding.

Sorry, the screen cap is from Strikers. I meant Royal’s last palace does a better job of hammering home the point than the base game’s coda (though the coda is still there after, mostly unchanged).
