Nice av. The wife didn't want the dimetrodon framed photo in the downstairs bathroom so we compromised with a framed photo of a majestic capybara. I got to find somewhere for this dime to display.

If somebody who isn't on mobile could do a better job of this I'd really appreciate it. Anyway, without further ado, I present a combination of the best 2 threads in GBS, or indeed, the entire forums. Here is also a VERY cute fossil

Dimetrodons are so loving cute. Little prehistoric dogs with fins. Love their big heads and sharp lil teefies.

They were cold blooded too so if you had a pet dimetrodon they'd probably cuddle you in the winter

it's immoral to keep a dimetrodon around without some rocks to stand on and a world to roar at

I would feed my dime some ostrich eggs and give him things to chew. I would build a little hill with a rock in the backyard that is well above the fenceline so he can roar at neighbors as they walk their dogs. A good boy.

If I had a lil dime I'd worry about the wind knocking him over by his sail. Is that something that happens? The back sails are so big.

It would be cool to nap in the shadow of a pet dimetrodon's sail while it's sunning itself on a warm day. Hands behind your head, chewing on a piece of straw, with your hat brim pulled down over your eyes.

dimetrodons are the the love child of a corgi and a sailboat, it's a loving cosmic tragedy that they're extinct while humans get to live

so, like, how do you search the archives, because if archives are included in the standard search tool then this person is the first person to mention dimetrodon on the forums, back in 2013Kilersquirrel posted:What area of DFW are you in? Most any route down to Glen Rose has a ton of country highways and roads with nice curves and dips, plus it's real pretty. If you don't mind slabbing it for a while, just taking 20 west into the Estacado tablelands is ha-mazingly pretty, especially now with rain(!!111 Dear god I hope we get an Indian summer this year) falling somewhat consistently and all the wildflowers blooming furiously. There's a crapload of little winding roads anywhere in farm country between Weatherford and Abilene too. you will note they correctly identify dimetrodon as a proto-mammal synapsid

You would need a different sheet as Dimetrodons are Pelycosaurs not Dinosaurs and that sheet would just be Hell Yeah! written as large as possible.
