I'm very out of touch with VW. They still put the R32 motor in anything? VR layouts are by far the most interesting thing about them.

Bape Culture posted:Just a homologated 4wd rally ripper with custom bodywork and stuff is so much better and more interesting than a farty German box to me Not even just custom bodywork, the base chassis isn't even the same as any other model yaris. I bet they are making a loss on every one sold. Probably the last time we will ever see a car like that again too.

The GR Yaris is baffling in the best way, it's incomprehensible how Toyota hyped the GR Corolla and that turned out to be a lovely plastic trim package only then rolled that little monster out.

I's not like Toyota havent done it before either, the old GT4 rally monsters vs lipstick on a Camry / Corollas back in the 90's come to mind. The GR Yaris is the actual spiritual successor to the early EVOWRX twins, back when they were demonic small cars that all they needed was a rollcage and you could win events in them outright. Well.... okay that's not exactly true, the GC8 WRX and CC based Lancer EVO 1-2-3 are still demonic small cars fully capable of ripping on new more powerful shitboxes and winning events with just a rollcage today too, their legacy ancestors either died out or got turdy fat and soft.

While going through some photos I came across some of my friends rabbit that we rescued in Alaska and its journey from pretty much stock to a SPU monster. Here it is seeing daylight for the first time in 15 years or so. It was his late fathers race car that was thrown into a storage unit after his parents sudden death. Here it is in Seattle getting it semi race worthy. The first race. Repaint and new engine. Random race photos More recent photos. Finally some race footage from his last race. https://youtu.be/3oRfp1sM_kU JudgeJoeBrown fucked around with this message at 00:52 on Jun 23, 2021 |
