I think I just realized my cat is doing this for me. I thought she was just enjoying me chase her and baiting me to sprint at her, but maybe she's just teaching me to hunt on my own.

Does remind me of when I had a pair of old rats and a pair of baby rats, and one of the older rats would wrestle with this baby barely a third of her size, and then roll over and let the little one win. "Oh no, you got me, aaaaahhhh!!!!"

Spent some time at my sister-in-law's townhome yesterday. There's a pond 30 or so feet from her yard. You wouldn't notice at first, but it you stare at any section of grass for more than a couple second you see movement. Then you can't not see movement everywhere. THEY'RE EVERYWHERE. THOUSANDS AND THOUSANDS OF THEM.

I LOVE FROGS If I had a backyard I'd totally make a little tire pond just so I could attract some lil croaky friends.

You're more likely to attract mosquitoes.

Yeah, my mom had one and there was a lil pump in it that solved that. We popped some fish and lilypads in there too.

When it's humid out we get frogs here (Wisconsin) and I love it. They sit on my window at night while I'm working and catch moths. We put in a pond a couple of years ago where they like to hang out and it's my favorite spot outside to sit and read for a bit. I've only ever seen one teeny tiny one before though.

Toadlets! Toads tend to lay way more eggs than frogs. They often breed in ephemeral pools, so the tadpoles have to transform pretty quickly without growing as much as frogs do. So you end up with zillions of tiny toadlets hopping around at once.
