Well I mean part of the joke is that there's not really a difference between the two beyond mask on mask off. Joyce pretty much outright tells you that as does Phil Greaves at the end. The Moralists I guess you could argue or putting on the airs of at least being SocDems, but as the Sunday friend puts up in big neon letters, this is a complete fabrication and they really are just Neolibs.

Disco is great and a lot of it's humour is political, but it's more based on how much of a mess you are and just genuinely funny wordplay and interactions. The impression that it's a purely political tract is unfortunate cause it's really really not. It just has considerably more to say than most games. It's funny above all else. i don't know all the particulars but my understanding is that failing the red authority check in the church causes the protagonist to get insanely racist against Kim to the point even his infinite patience runs out and he just fucks off for the rest of the day

Why at that moment of almost triumph? failed authority checks are some of the most dangerous of the lot because they make harry do insane, self-destructive poo poo in an attempt to gain dominance over the conversation. usually that consists of screaming meltdowns or suicide attempts, but in kim's case, harry's misfiring brain remembers that racial slurs are a sore spot for kim and goes "fire off the nastiest slur you can think of, that'll get him on the back foot"
