That was part of my first point. They've replaced reality with the Fox News Cinematic Universe and now replaced that with the /pol/ Cinematic Universe. And it really is shocking to me though still, in at least one respect; my boomer parents always drilled into me how you never loving use your real name online or trust what you read online. Like the internet is this dangerous place full of child molesters and credit-card scammers. My father is a tech-illiterate Fox News fascist who still knows enough to figure out that emails about credit cards and 'there's been a charge on your account' and whatnot are fake. Like the one thing in all of this I find somewhat surprising still is how that generation went from 'the internet is a den of lies and you cannot trust anything you read or see on it and never use your real name on it!' to posting the latest Q-drops on their twitter and facebook which have their real full name and photo on it. Like I get that part of it is of course the radicalization stuff and the need for ever increasingly extreme and pure content, but surely they could have turned to radio or poo poo for that, no? As far as I recall, the filtering wasn't what made gaiters bad, its that they are impossible to remove and put on without cross contamination. When it bunches down on itself, the inside gets on the outside, and it gets all over your hands and neck and face.
