Just get that Xiaomi band and you will see. After a couple months you won't want to wear a band on your wrist. And if you want to wear a band to measure your step count, you can do it on a phone or on a g shock. Or you don't even need to wear anything after a while cause you will get an idea how much you walk. I am not trying to talk you out of a band. It cost nothing just get one and see it yourself.

I normally have a G-Shock Copilot that has analog hands so the LG fits the bill as far as having a real analog watch with smarts around it. THe smarts will die in a day or so, but the analog will run for over a month telling time.

Is there a reputable store for phone batteries? I know it's a bit risk but I've had good luck with Ali lipos so I'm willing to give it a shot.

I still had the charger for it, but no lights on or charging even after I left it plugged in for a couple of days. So you know, buyer beware, it stops charging if left unused for like what, 5 years? (Just wanted to comment because it's a weird coincidence that it was brought up)

I have mine set so the only thing that goes through to the watch are phone calls, texts, and personal reminders I've set up. My phone still vibrates for everything. I don't get stuck in those situations where you pull out the phone to check a text message and end up glued to social media. I love my Apple Watch and the only thing I use it for is to see messages/emails and not have to open the phone to respond or see what it is. My favorite is I can listen to music and get constant messages without ping-ping-ping-ping constantly interrupting my tunes. Just a little tap on the wrist instead, perfect.

Or you can force it open on the table edge, but it may leave a mark on your wood table.

An industrial electrician I know taught me that panel keys, (like these) for opening electrical panels on machinery also work well to open pop top bottles. Apparently beer goes well with high voltage electricity too!

It makes it more like drinking out of a glass, so the beer pours out smoothly without glugging and getting foamy. You can also use one of those old time handheld bottle/can openers to punch a vent hole opposite the mouth hole for a similar effect. That thing is about the same size and weight as a cup though.

davebo posted:Anyone know if those supports save states? Making an educated guess here: No. The systems that are made with "500 games built in!!!1" but no removable media don't tend to have a menu system (or an obvious button to enter any such menu) and therefore don't do savestates. Powkiddy makes a bunch of other models that do though, I recommend the FC3000, it's usually under $25 shipped. This one is meant to sell itself on being a portable battery first and a gameboy second, it seems.

Yep exactly that, anything really cheap with games built in on aliexpress is almost certainly a famiclone/nes on a chip which means it has the same capabilities as an original NES, so no savestates or anything fancy. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rs4V8hvcE0U As you mention, the family pocket FC3000 is just as cheap as any famiclone/nes on a chip portable but is basically old cellphone hardware that runs actual emulators so there is no reason to buy anything else on the super low end. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=52lTuozWPYA Except the gamechicken, which is a famiclone/nes on a chip but you should buy it because it's Mr Luxury Yacht posted:Is that a loving trackball controller? flavor.flv posted:Yeah, that's just whatever was on the thing they stole the mould for, don't expect it to work or even move. If you can add a bottle opener to a tool without impacting it's primary function, there is no good reason not to. It's really common with bicycle tools too.
