During the games they're much, much cheaper e: it was literally a thing where you buy a ticket and go sit in the stadium and listen to the album played over the speakers, no actual live music or performance. Kanye was there but he didn't speak and just wandered around down on the field.

Seems like a pretty fair (but exorbitant) deal for Adams, all things considered. He would have been pretty bold to turn that down to play on the tag. I'm still glad the Jets aren't paying him.

Now loving sign Duane Brown

fsif posted:So uh, guess that two week waiting period after the second shot to be fully vaccinated is legit. chamois posted:i never even thought about how many breakthrough cases might be happening during the 2 week period. that said I was always under the impression it was like a "don't operate heavy machinery while taking this medicine" type warning that was safe to ignore The vaccine injection itself does not provide any direct protection. Your body reacts to the vaccine by building antibodies, which are what provides the protection. That is not an instantaneous process, nor is it universal in the body. It takes time for the antibodies to build up, and as they do so they get more and more effective and provide better and better protection. That is what the two-week period is supposed to accomplish, to give most bodies enough time to have built up a high degree of protection. However, even after the antibodies have built up, they are often not present in high enough quantities in key locations to completely prevent an infection from taking hold. Like most airborne viruses, COVID begins as an upper-respiratory infection, and there’s some evidence that the vaccine doesn’t reliably stop that stage of the infection. That means you can still catch COVID despite full vaccination, and you can still spread it because that upper-respiratory phase is when it is most infectious. However, the presence of antibodies from the vaccine can help to make that phase weaker and shorter, even if it doesn’t block it completely. More importantly, the vaccine is very effective at preventing the infection from spreading from the upper respiratory system down into the lungs, where it can cause severe and possibly permanent damage. So being vaccinated means you should still be taking precautions against catching and spreading the disease, because you aren’t immune and you don’t know how your body is going to react and because there are un-vaccinated people who are very seriously at risk (many of whom would like to be vaccinated but cannot be). But if you do catch it while vaccinated, you are at least much more likely to experience it as something more like a cold rather than as something that’s going to knock you off your feet for weeks and potentially injure you for life; and you will probably be at least a little less infectious, and for a shorter period, and hopefully you won’t be taking away a hospital bed from other people.
