No loving duh.

Also why you do it more than a year from the midterms.

The problem people who oppose it are going to have is that the alternative is only ever going to be keeping a military presence in country, which is going to be unpopular to a general electorate. And no one on the right actually wants to fix the refugee problem because that involves more brown people at the supermarket.

Hasn't the US and west already messed up by saying outright they've decided to cancel all previous aid package agreements due to the occupation government losing?

The Taliban can still hold out hope that they'll turn the spigot back on, but that's probably not gonna happen.

Possible, sure. Feasible, no.

China's building a 1600 km higher-speed (160 km/h) railway right now from Chengdu to Lhasa, through the Himalayan foothills. The total cost will around USD $50 billion.

A similar line from Urumqi or Lhasa to Tehran via Kabul will involve about 4000 km of railway through the Hindu Kush, which is significantly more challenging, plus security and international issues. I doubt it can be done for less than $500 billion. No one has that kind of money.

edit:

No one has that kind of the money except for the US, and even then it's only for wars.

The media is desperately trying to drum up outrage over the pull out and even when they flat out lie and tell people Al-Qaeda is now in control of Afghanistan they're still getting a majority saying they don't give a poo poo, exiting the war is good actually.

This whole thing has been hilarious because it has exposed that the media talking heads still think this is the mid-2000's and that your average American still actually gives a poo poo about Afghanistan or the war on terror.

Yeah I know reading articles on reason why people wanted make deals is the Taliban had a reputation compared to the Central government for being less corrupt.

For example being a local merchant meant you had to constantly pay out protection money to the local central government police, town checkpoint guards or military to not get beat up.

The media thinks people still believe them and that didn't already burn any credibility they had a long time ago. It's been all lies from 20 years, Afghanistan and then Iraq.

Even the dipshit conservatives aren't buying it anymore. It helps that there's plenty of people at this point that went over there and back and saw how big of a shitshow it's always been.
