The alternate, and superior title, for this film is BLUE JEAN COP and I'm told it's pretty drat good.

Yeah it was Blue Jean Cop in the UK, and it is legitimately good. Elliott lives in a porn cinema, and tells a great tale about a dog.
Well worth catching it although I don't think I've ever seen it on TV, guess Weller/Elliott weren't bankable enough.

Kristen Stewart is really good. She’s not quite Robert Pattinson redeemed but she’s getting there.

Because I don't like her acting. She has one mode... Angsty shoe gazing mouth constantly slightly agape. It's like some "one weird trick" she learned from a lovely drama teacher somewhere and she built her whole style around it.

Still Alice might be the best film she’s done, but she wasn’t the main focus. I liked Personal Shopper, and others must have too as Criterion released it.

I feel she’s generally above most of the films she’s been in.

That was the one they didn't advertise at all, right? I distinctly remember the first time I heard about it was a news story about how it had underperformed.

It was just a big yikes fest the entire time trying to keep up with TJ Miller sabotaging his own career by being an rear end in a top hat. It was shot in 2017 and didn't come out until 2020

They advertised it plenty, it's just that people didn't want to see it. It felt like a lot of what I saw had the 'It was made by a woman and stars all these women, isn't that great?' and that kind of advertising clearly tends to put people off, including women!

It's a shame too because I certainly liked it more than the McG ones.

Like he would play a prison...? I guess other actors could act out a drama and he could stand a bit above and behind them with his arms outstretched and kind of bent around them to be like the walls.

TJ Miller's best role ia in Transformers 4 where it seemed like he was the comic relief but was then killed early in the movie to demonstrate how scary the villain was.
