We're just becoming a Poland or Hungary. Which was extremely obviously going to happen if the Tories won but of course they made Corbyn out to be the real danger

Can you imagine the liberal media if the Tories did a full on attack on trans people a la Poland or Hungary. "Boris shows despite his illiberal demeanor that he puts women's rights first after all"

"Boris shows despite his illiberal demeanor that he puts women's rights first after all" Poland is especially lovely about gay people and abortions more than trans people on account of the whole catholic fundamentalism thing, trans bashing is Hungary's forte in particular. I can't decide which is worse TBH. But from a UK media perspective transphobia is far more acceptable of the two.

When you say Brechin City the first thing I think of is the hedge on one side of their ground. It still will be, love the hedge. But now there's also the statue, a reminder of the existential horror of being a part of the United Kingdom. Should've painted it tho

That statue was installed at the Wallace Monument in Stirling in 1996 and literally everyone hated it, except for Alex Salmond who did grinning photo ops with it. They had to have it in a cage because people kept vandalising the weird gurning Mel Gibson statue

I suspect that means just kinda lovely and expensive, and more vulnerable to storms, not "Cool monument to man's folly/Drowned City of the Goves". That shipwreck with tons of explosives is a few miles from there so maybe there's still a chance it'll get flooded if that ever goes up.
