How are threadbans catalogued exactly, is there just a banlist.xslx file that all the mods keep on a drive somewhere? A lotta goons have been thread banned now so I imagine nobody is just going by memory.

I've heard of new mods replacing an old one and suddenly the threadban is not enforced anymore because the new mod doesn't know about it. So in that case they didn't even tell their successor that beefjerky mcjerkface is banned from posting in the beef stew thread because they constantly make it about beef jerky.

We usually put it on the poster’s rap sheet so other people know they’re thread banned and then try to enforce it from there. Personally I don’t really like using thread bans just because the apparent informality of it makes it feel weird to enforce, though I recognize sometimes it’s necessary. If a poster is fine elsewhere and is just making one thread really bad then a thread ban is preferable to a normal ban.

I realize that it's probably still in a swamp I just don't know if it's still standing. I heard Grover even still lives there. I sometimes wonder if the legends are true.

My understanding is that for Flight Sim most of the geometry is generated. But some parts have been hand-crafted. Stuff like well-known buildings or land marks. Not sure if Groverhaus is significant enough to be hand-crafted. But I've seen it and it on screenshots and it doesn't look like it.
