They’ll inevitably go to 18 games, so we’ll have things normal with 9-9, or the potential for the best record: 6-6-6.

Zimmer is red hot 0-2 facing Seattle who he always loses against in the playoffs.

Yea Zimmer feels like the sort of coach that gets a second job and is amazing causing us to look back and realize being saddled with Kirk Cousins was perhaps a larger burden than we thought.

Zimmer is a defense coach that's had a bad defense for like 3 years now. I feel like any defense of Zimmer could probably be said about Anthony Lynn. They both seem like good dudes who get down to the wire and at some point at least 1 thing went horribly wrong resulting in a lousy W/L column.

Lynn got fired not just for his record, but because he was a terrible game day coach. Just from last year: - ran the ball on 3rd and 1 within easy FG range with no time outs left and only about 20 seconds left in the half. They don’t convert and then fail to get the field goal team out or run another play before time expires. - ran the ball with no timeouts against the Bills after completed a Hail Mary down to the redzone with 24 seconds left in the game - ended that game running a QB sneak from the 1 except the O-line dropped into pass protection and Herbert got mauled. That one is too funny not to post https://mobile.twitter.com/SharpFootball/status/1333158216356794374 - multiple large leads blown due to conservative coaching: running the ball to kill clock when there’s still an entire half to play, punting on 4th and 1 against Mahomes in OT - atrocious special teams https://mobile.twitter.com/jeffphowe/status/1336016710097367040 - lost to the Cam Newton patriots 45-0

And it sounds really bad, after Bridgewater got the knee it was Sam Bradford and then Case Keenum. But both of those guys had what was probably their best year with Minnesota in single seasons without a long time to learn the offense. They were still right to move on because neither would work long term, just thought it was funny noticing that.

Wasn't Cousins a predictor of whether or not a team would finish with a winning record at one point? I wonder how that's held up.
