Can't stay closed forever! Like, you can't live forever either, so maybe you could just top yourself today and we'll stay closed for a couple more months without you. The whole NT thing is just a handjob to Qantas who need a compliant state willing to sacrifice themselves to the gods of capitalism. It's terrible but I'm just relieved it's not going to be WA doing it. yoloer420 fucked around with this message at 02:10 on Sep 27, 2021 |

It's sketchy. The magnitude and the consistency of results they are claiming are miraculous. A similar meta analysis was recently pulled because there were serious concerns with the cited trials, that results were tampered with. I haven't checked but given the piss poor amount of ivermectin trials I imagine they share a few. They don't cite a single negative or mixed result trial. Pretty much nothing is that good, and if it is that good, once it gets around doctors and they try it in a few last ditch they're dying anyway what the hell cases, they will do everything they can to prescribe it to as many patients as they can. There should be a whole lot more anecdata from bewildered US/Brit doctors going "yeah we thought bullshit but hey it actually worked, boy we've got egg on our face" if ivermectin is as effective as claimed. At this point given the US's titanic death toll and love of ivermectin, there should be a very noticeable cohort of unvaccinated, ivermectin using whack jobs that are otherwise inexplicably still healthy. Given the results claimed there should be a lot more, like hugely a lot more, buzz coming out of the countries the article states had widespread ivermectin initiatives across big regions with huge covid case loads.

I'm not sure how I'd express my concerns with the study to someone who has gone full brain worms, I feel like anything rational I could say would be countered or dismissed by something irrational. Big pharma, NWO, whatever. I think I'd just say, ok, that's one, can you link me more studies from reputable sites to consider? It was published five months ago, there have been follow up studies done? Has the author written anything further on ivermectin/covid (knowing they'll probably find the author got covid themselves rather than you telling them)? loving lol the author got covid.

In my experience it's the "can't stay closed forever" crowd who insist that 70/80/90% (pick one, it doesn't change the narrative) is "let 'er rip".
