Texas is going to have a resurgent second half of the season culminating in beating a broken (by Alabama) Georgia team in a NY6 bowl, which thereby lets them claim a retroactive win over Arkansas

Ya, I misread that, but that doesn't change much. Sure VT has a defense that statistically appears to be substantially better than virginia. But ooof, that offense is in the complete opposite direction from virginia. Like almost wisconsin bad. edit: Considering VT's defense as closer to quality to cincinnati, the offense might be a bit better than wisconsin, and it's a VT home game makes that line looks like quite a coin flip. downout fucked around with this message at 15:33 on Oct 4, 2021 |

Texas Tech jumping out to a 17-0 lead and then holding on for a 23-20 win means that a bowl game (and another Wells season) is in sight. Frankly, going to have to win the next two vs TCU and Kansas, because every other game will be a fairly significant upset.

It did work last week because I didn’t think there was any way in hell Georgia would thump Arkansas like that but when somebody here posted that the bulk of the money at MGM was on Arkansas I held my nose and bet on UGA.

There is a weird lowkey hype about Nebraska right now despite the fact that we have only won three games against three lovely teams. Previously our fans would get excited after a win over a ranked team, but the last time we did that was 2016 so I guess we have to start counting "moral victories" now.

I couldn’t tell you which of these teams they beat, but this just has the feel of one of those Les Miles teams that looks like poo poo but still wins some games they probably shouldn’t based on talent and luck. It’s a better team than last year and that team somehow went 5-5.

VT at night against ND should be a great environment. At least until the offense kicks itself in it's own dick and makes it painful to watch for VT fans. At least the defense is kinda fun again. I think given the ND offense's lack of explosion this year, it could be a tight fun game. I dunno Fu has gotten me conditioned to expect the worst from the team generally. Too bad its on the ACCN and approximately half the people that want to see it will. Go Vols Bitch. Great to see fun football around Rocky Top.

Distinct memories of that day as while making gumbo, I turned from the end of that game to the beginning of Georgia/Tennessee to watch Nick Chubb's knee be obliterated on live television.

Wisconsin will look better at the end of the season after they run through the West but other than that its a lot of meh, Then throw in the night game away from home. 5-0 is 5-0 and they got more talent than Nebraska but I wouldn't expect a blowout tbh.
