Nebakenezzer posted:We might actually need a smiley for "Goddamnit, Boeing, you had one job." KC-135s are having sudden pitch down events quote:A new autopilot is a key component of the Block 45 upgrade package, which you can read more about here. Since the mid-2010s, the Air Force has had many of its KC-135s brought up to this standard, and the upgrades are also available to foreign operators. What was then Rockwell Collins developed the complete package, which has since been supplied in kit form for installation on KC-135s. In 2018, United Technologies Corporation bought Rockwell Collins, which now operates as Collins Aerospace. Boeing might have had one job but it sure wasn't developing or installing new autopilots on the KC-135s.

Harv didn’t design it my dude, he’s the straight up creator. It’s also a turbo flight stick pervert so the game is all about that support.

Sounds like there was a bad crash with a skydiving plane. Potentially a few survivors though? I suspect we'll see video of this more sooner than later, knowing how many divers have gopros filming their whole experience. https://www.ctvnews.ca/world/15-dead-after-russian-skydiver-plane-crashes-1.5618246 quote:MOSCOW -- A plane carrying skydivers crashed Sunday shortly after takeoff in central Russia, killing 15 of the 22 people aboard. slidebite fucked around with this message at 14:19 on Oct 10, 2021 |

Submitted for your approval: a proposal for a superyacht, designed in cubist fashion, with space in absolutely calm weather for a helicopter, and in undefined conditions a 100 m airship as a tender Note that this airship looks like a massively scaled down Zeppelin but has the lift capacity of a small blimp https://uncrate.com/dare-to-dream-airship-superyacht/

I suspect the charitable explanation is one of those Italian architecture students My notes: What's the deal with the helicopter being on the boat deck Which is separated from the helipad by the pool And that helipad isn't level, guys, don't make that face Also your airship has a disturbingly small volume, that's of a piece with the slanty helipad And that surface level door you have in the bow guys google well deck, or the Kirov class, there's a reason why these things go in the stern Summary: forget boat, learn airship

Amazing the dad complained about the food, after surviving a flight in a junkyard 720 all the way to goddamn India you’d think any food would be the best food he’s ever tasted. Also lol at a new airport director putting new tires on it and getting it out of there in 30 minutes after it had been sitting for 24 years with no one doing anything.

I didn’t understand that part. It sure wasn’t flying away, and the airport director’s action is contrasted with “they towed it a little further away in 2011”, so presumably it somehow left airport property. I guess that scrappers came and broke it apart. Now that takes a lot longer than thirty minutes, but if we’re only counting the time on the phone, sure.
