The YCL, the lot who got kettled in Glasgow are now starting a factional fight in the CPB so we're going to have yet another Leninist Party of a New Type in a couple of weeks. This time with more Stalin

There's been quite a few YCL stickers up round Sheffield recently and it's been nice to see something commie about that isn't the loving SWP

Ahead of their latest congress CPB instituted a social media policy asking YCL members to not be so publicly enthusiastic about Stalin. The gensec of the YCL blames the anger over the new policy on wreckers and saboteurs, so some people are probably about to get the boot lol

But a most extraordinary circumstance, and what would be scarcely credible upon any single evidence, is, that the scars of wounds which had been for many years healed, were forced open again by this virulent distemper. Of this, there was a remarkable instance in one of the invalids on board the Centurion, who had been wounded above fifty years before at the battle of the Boyne; for though he was cured soon after, and had continued well for a great number of years past, yet on his being attacked by the scurvy, his wounds, in the progress of his disease, broke out afresh, and appeared as if they had never been healed. Nay, what is still more astonishing, the callous of a broken bone, which had been completely formed for a long time, was found to be hereby dissolved, and the fracture seemed as if it had never been consolidated.

I looked it up and there's no vitamin C in eels, alas What is the nutritional value of eels? They have zero sugar, low in sodium and high in potassium and phosphorus. They contain no carbohydrates, but have 18 amino acids. It is especially rich in vitamins A and B12, but also in B1, B2, D and E. Studies show that eels decrease cholesterol, lower blood pressure and reduce the risk of developing arthritis. Its high content of omega 3 fatty acids delays or reduces the risk of developing Type 2 diabetes. Eel also reduces cardiovascular risk factors, one of them high triglyceride levels.

I feel I should be curious why a bunch of tory voters has switched to the greens because of the corruption stuff, but I know the answer is just profound stupidity and absolutely no idea what each party actually stands for or what their actual policies are. I swear if you hit these boomers with one of those blind politics tests 90% of them would turn out to be authoritarian communists.

That isn't really how the polls work - it's just a percentage share of people who're considered "likely" to vote iirc. So it could be some tories switching but it could also just be more tories saying that they aren't going to vote, etc. The percentage changes don't necessarily correlate directly with each other exactly.

Don't assume it's a direct swap. We have large numbers of inactive voters, so parties can gain and lose supporters entirely independent of each other. This could be Labour defectors going from 'will not vote' to 'Green' thanks to COP26, while Conservative turnout drops due to lovely rivers and shittier MPs.
