My local dispensary offers a 20% vet discount on all purchases; you can even stack sales, to a max of 30% discount on most sales (some let you go higher) I try to max my savings, and last re-up, between sales/discount/rewards points, I ended up getting 1200$ value for 600$. They didn't count regular 5$ or 10$ off towards the max discount.

Never thought I’d see “reward points” used in the weed trade ever, ngl

The dispensaries where I'm at don't even need loyalty points for $1 joints. That's just the price of half of them

What kids? I'm not having any of those.

It's definitely a significant reason behind me moving from Tennessee to Colorado. gently caress fretting over getting felony possession for half an ounce of weed or a gram of wax. And it's still that way in TN, they haven't stepped down the severity of anything (which is funny because even Mississippi is much more lenient).

I'll walk all around town now smoking a joint, don't care unless I'm walking close to a school or past a cop. Even then I just light up again 200ft past whatever the problem would be.

$1 joints rule, but they're almost always rolled from shake or flower that's on the edge of test expiry. Doesn't mean much, but you can expect a little of the THC has degraded to CBN over that time and might make you a little more drowsy than fresh flower.

On that note, it'd be real loving neato if Biden told OPM that non-clearance level jobs (so like public trust type stuff) do not need to give a poo poo about weed. I'd love it if they did it for anything secret and above too, but doubtful that happens anytime soon.

Is the jury in the courtroom during this?

It seems like he is trying to tell the jury that he believes some evidence is "wrong", but not actually saying it. I was under the assumption that actions/behavior like that was the domain of lawyers, not judges.

Not entirely surprised TBQH.

I know people were getting (rightfully) pissed off with Garland and the DOJ since it seemed like nothing was happening with Bannon and others over refusing to comply with congress' subpoenas. But with one major exception, DoJ doesn't openly announce that they've wrapped up a criminal investigation (let alone started one) or empaneled a grand jury.

We just got spoiled over the last few y ears because Manhattan and Cyrus Vance's grand juries leak like a sieve while most other grand juries have the fear of god put into them not to leak anything.

Yeah, I've been on IP measures where we decide to handle it as a civil matter, because once you refer it to DOJ, it falls into a black hole.

Don't think I saw this posted but saw it today at work: Scientists reversed paralysis in mice after severe spinal cord injuries.

https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2021/11/211111153635.htm

The article above posted:

In a new study, researchers administered a single injection to tissues surrounding the spinal cords of paralyzed mice. Just four weeks later, the animals regained the ability to walk.
...
"Our research aims to find a therapy that can prevent individuals from becoming paralyzed after major trauma or disease," said Northwestern's Samuel I. Stupp, who led the study. "For decades, this has remained a major challenge for scientists because our body's central nervous system, which includes the brain and spinal cord, does not have any significant capacity to repair itself after injury or after the onset of a degenerative disease. We are going straight to the FDA to start the process of getting this new therapy approved for use in human patients, who currently have very few treatment options."
...
While the new therapy could be used to prevent paralysis after major trauma (automobile accidents, falls, sports accidents and gunshot wounds) as well as from diseases, Stupp believes the underlying discovery -- that "supramolecular motion" is a key factor in bioactivity -- can be applied to other therapies and targets.

I'll believe Bannon suffers any consequences six months after he's been locked up and even then it would be in better living conditions than half the country has.

Then he'll write a book (pay a ghost writer) about it and make more money than they do as well.
