They used to be 217 Stab Wounds but rounded down, lol. I thought the album was okay but the EP was a lot nastier and slammier so I was hoping for more of that. That Monument of Misanthropy release (listed under album title Unterweg in the Friday megapost) does satisfy with the slams though.

I spent a couple weeks a while back getting reacquainted with Dir en Grey. Past-Me lamented Marrow of a Bone for being a departure from their earlier work. New Exodus is a New Exodus album...sorta. There are some absolute killer highlights on it. It gets really heavy for Exodus\thrash in general. With a different production and vocals, some parts would probably work for death metal. I think the second and third songs are the worst off the album, so stick with it.
