Idk I still enjoy it. I thought I was getting prestige TV sci-fi but instead it’s hack space soap opera with a huge budget. I’ll gladly watch 8 seasons

Show was fine, probably not going to watch anymore, the whole season gave me a Westworld season 3 vibe. At least the annoying lady getting an arrow in the neck was rad.

Now that all 10 episodes are available, and i've watched it to the end, can still say; this was an extremely stupid and pointless show.

oh yeah, that detail of salvor taking huntress' bow and shooting her in the neck from it was made funnier this episode by the anacreon in this episode explaining to salvor that the tree was made from the same material as "your bow". that dude literally didnt give a poo poo that salvor took their relic and never gave it back to anacreons.

It's such a dumb waste of the spectacle and all the money / on-location shooting they did. Since at end of the series you won't care about the plot, amazing reveals or the characters. It also has zero in common with the actual material given all the rewrites and decisions for attempting to translate the books into a TV series. It's a failure to in terms of being a translation of the book series and an additional failure since all the rewrite decisions are not improvements / memorable over the source material (let's give multiple characters a Marvel superpower and capability they didn't earn) etalian fucked around with this message at 13:16 on Nov 20, 2021 |

I'm just pissed that this show got Jared Harris for half the season and The Expanse has to make do with a four second clip once a season.

But isn't it the case in Book 3 of the Foundation trilogy that the Second Foundation folks also have telepathic abilities, but gain them through training to unlock humanity's hidden ability rather than through any genetic predisposition. The whole talk with the Mule at the end of that arc seems to indicate as such.

Seems to be some kind of gamble, if you plan for Harris to stick around for eight seasons. We gotta start betting what season/episode his AI corrupts into another actor.

I just have to say how absolutely WILD it is that they introduced TWO ways to make a Hari AI. It seems extremely pointless to do so. They literally could have just had the vault be a projector for ship Hari to talk through. There was zero reason to make him an entirely separate Hari who was copied with an entirely different method. It's not like vault Hari wouldn't know the overall plan about the Second Foundation that Ship Hari revealed to Gaal. He knows the secret parts of the plan too. Also Vault Hari has got the much worse existence, only getting to be turned on for 10 minutes every few hundred years, while ship Hari gets to live a more fulsome unlife. That Hari really got the rear end end of that deal.

If it's this easy to become an AI holigram, why even clone? Aren't you effectively immortal? I feel like the show accidentally stumbled on a killer premise, but is going to ignore it completely.
