The fight scenes were terrible, I’m concerned that not great choreography coupled with lots of cuts is gonna be the route this show goes. I did like how Boba completely vaporized the guy on the wall.

I’m less enthusiastic about the next episode than I was the first, but I’m still gonna watch it.
That struck me as odd because the same weapon had no effect at all on Boba himself when he fired it directly at the shields.

He was wearing his semi-Besker armor which protected him. Including the parts it didn't cover. Ummm.... Sarlacc digestion makes you immune to explosions?

I'M JUST SAYING Jefferson Starship is still touring today it's just a matter of if Filoni is bold enough to have them appear and perform in one of these Star Wars shows.

Speaking of music how do people feel about Ludwig's new theme for Fett? I'm pretty used to the Mando credits being an absolute banger so I'm a little hesitant on Fett for now. It sounds good, but it feels like it hits the crescendo at the same point as Mando but without the blend of Rocky Meets Western.

Fett feels more like tribal meets medieval with some Mexican guitar in the background.

I wasn't as happy with it as I was with Mando's score but it seems appropriate for what we've seen of the character so far.

I wouldn't mind it going full Mexican and just being Desperado but in Star Wars.

I keep seeing this, but honestly what other way could you possibly have him escape? It’s either punching his way out or using the jet pack. That’s the easiest and most obvious way without devoting screentime to some other stupid convoluted explanation.

Everyone knows he escaped, here it is for 10 seconds, alright now we can move on with the episode. I’m fine with it

I thought I read a long time ago a fan theory that Bob Fett was rescued by Jawas because they had a tunnel leading to an underground part of the sarlac where they would mine the digestive juices or something and they dug him out.

In one of the short story collections Boba blasts his way out of the mouth but he's all hosed up from the blasting/sarlacc juices; and Dengar/Payback picks him up off the sand and didn't know who he was because he wasn't wearing the armor. I don't remember much else about that story other than the telepathy ring that lets Dengar feel love. Tales from the Bounty Hunters or from Mos Eisley or something like that. Same book had IG-88 upload himself to the 2nd death star to take it over.

'Cause we're the good guys.

Say what you will about New Star Wars but the work Filoni and Favreau have done expanding the lore of the Tuskens alone is worth any sins in the Sequel Trilogy.

Also, loved that mid-episode super deep cut for us old, old school fans. Make sure you check the credits, or at least have subtitles on for the bar scene.
