Eh not necessarily. Clone Wars had BabyBoba both with motivations (even if "hates Jedi" isn't very novel) and as part of a tribe (Aurra Sing and Bossk's crew). But your point is still valid-- so much time has passed between prequel Boba and ESB-onward Boba that they might as well be different characters.

I'm not hopeful it will happen, but maybe they should have done flashbacks to literally any part of his past instead of just this Tusken poo poo.

I haven't watched enough Clone Wars to see Boba in it but in the old EU Bossk's sole purpose in life was to be clowned on by Boba Fett so I would very much like to see that happen in live action. No idea what they're relationship is like in the Clone Wars cartoon though.

Tbf Stormtroopers do a lot better when not fighting protagonists and cute mascot characters. They lose, what, merely 3 troopers seizing the Tantive IV? Despite having to advance up a narrow killing zone they quickly overwhelm the ship’s security team.

People also overlook that the Ewoks successful ambush the Empire and then proceeded to ABSOLUTELY SLAUGHTERED. The stormtroopers are caught off guard for a few seconds and that's it. They're getting devastated right up until Chewie steals a loving tank.

And they almost casually dunked on Echo Base. "Dug in target, with advanced warning, with no fire support or air support for us? They'll have air support under the shield and anti-vehicle artillery? Five walkers should do it."

That's like taking a defended air base with five Strykers.

Storm Troopers are another of those "memes replacing what actually happened" things. They were purposefully letting Luke and the gang escape so the Falcon could be tracked to the Rebel base. They purposefully weren't trying to kill Luke so Vader could freeze him. They were owning the Ewoks until Chewy took the ATST, as mentioned.

Speaking of which, what EU story explained why the Ewoks apparently had existing giant log traps all over the place?

Given that the Star Wars creators like to connect the different stories it wouldn't surprise me to learn that when they were planning these new shows they looked at what character relationships Kenobi and Fett have in common and knew how amazing it would be to see Black Krrsantan on the screen for both shows. I'll be hoping to see this real bad dude pop up in the Kenobi show, too. He's easily one of the scariest characters in Star Wars for me, right up there with Darth Vader. They've had some great Chewbacca action in the movies lately so I can't wait to see a psychotic version of that in live-action. Here's a comic book page that gives an idea of what it'll look like https://i.imgur.com/Wh5QrUF.png

Aphra's comic is a really good read and I wholly recommend it. You don't need to jump into the Vader comics where she was introduced either. You can just dive right into her series (which is what I did). She's great :allears:

Part of me was hoping instead of CGI Hutts the Twins would be enormous puppets like the original Jabba, which I love. But those days are long gone and the original Jabba was a complex character to physically represent for everyone involved. Can't imagine them having teams to puppet TWO of them.

There's a toy Youtuber who's obsessed with Jabba and he just recently did a video where he had 3D printed a custom action figure of the Hutt where you could pull off his front and it revealed figures of the three puppeteers inside working the arms and the tail. It was actually kind of cool.

I think they've done an amazing job this season populating the scenes. Mando very rarely had this many extras in shots and they have had a variety of interesting aliens and droids in the shots. I loved the trandoshans especially from the recent episode and the weird bikini rat.

EXISTENCE IS PAIN😬
Things I liked that were charming:

-That teen tusken raider had a distinct "awkward cracking teen voice" inflection to all his braying.

-Important to observe that for a long time we associated sand people as talking in this braying donkey screams but it ends up that's just them yelling in the same context a person would scream. Be chill and they are more than willing to use their inside voices.

-Train robot peace out and just skitters off. . I also liked how they made the controls of the train look like a real steam engine with tons of valves and spigots and levers everywhere.

-There's a very organic nature to Tattoine. The little furry creature the Hutt uses to mop up sweat, or the GPS lizard. Things are futuristic but little of that reaches the Dune Sea.
