To go from "I felt I had too many lines, so I tried to pass them off to my co-star, haha, what a fun memory" to "Morrison hated the writing" is so damaging, so deliberately calculating. Makes my skin crawl to think that there are people who think like that. How can I phrase this so I can stir up the most poo poo possible and get as many clicks as I possibly can?

Absolutely agree with the shade on the bullshit sensationalist headline.

But it sounds to me that Temura gets the character, and perhaps understands one of the issues I have with the series. In all the original Bob appearances he was mysterious, unknown element and his very few lines he did have were sharp and to the point.

He's absolutely right that it shouldn't be his character dumping all the exposition and explaining his motivations - it's inconsistent with the image around the character. It's one of the things Mandalorian did really well. We didn't get to know much about Din from his words - only from his actions.

Of course Lucas partially ruined that by shoehorning him into the prequel films already, and I have no context for his appearances in the subsequent cartoons or whatever.

I think one of the fundamental problems is that to make Bob a believable protagonist as a titular character for people to root for, is that they need to make him overly emphathetic - like giving him a code of honour and having his first instinct be to help those in trouble and so forth.

As such, he ends up being a bit of a clone (lol) of Din, which is rather ironic given that character started with 'what if Boba Fett was a good guy'.

I'm digging the extended look into the rest of general life for gangsters on Tatooine at least.

Early 40s. Between the Sarlaac and the abuse and then rough living at the hands of the Tusken raiders, I can just about buy 60 year old Temuera Morrison playing him, who looks good for his age now.

The bacta treatments were to treat his sarlacc pit acid burns(both times lol). It has nothing to do with him being old or having spent years of hard living in the desert.

I don't see your point. When television and movies show characters who are thought of as tough, invincible badasses to need repeated healing treatments, the creators are saying something about that character; something they want you to know. They don't just do things like that because watching somebody go to the hospital is inherently interesting.

The bacta treatments would make sense if the sarlaac injuries were shown to be causing Boba any distress or weakness in the past sequences.

Anyway I kinda enjoyed this episode that was primarily focused on demonstrating that Slave One's cockpit is really badly designed. Boba needs to be talky. He wasn't talky in the 15 seconds of screen time he had in the OT, but if he's a silent guy in Mandalorian armour then he's just The Mandalorian and also actually Jango was a talky guy and if we are expanding Boba as a character then he should be a bit like Jango.

They should have put Temuera in a wig and do some flashback scenes where he's Jango talking to Boba and teasing out the roots of the character that way.
