Has anyone happened to come across ISO Nordic keycap sets on Aliexpress? I found exactly one (not through search because search is useless, just through clicking through every loving one I found) but it's ugly.

That was pretty much my reaction as well, wasn't even mad. They offered to send it again but I think I'd just have my $1.30 back and not wait forever again. Plus the 1220 actually works in the fob since it's held tightly from the top and bottom, so the smaller diameter doesn't make a difference.

I'd recommend a Canon T3i, it's a crop-sensor camera, which means it takes smaller resolution photos than a full frame (though they're still huge and you can easily print sharp 20x30s off full frames). Recommend a crop sensor for a few reasons:
- Lighter in your hand, this is a big deal after a few hours.
- Free 1.4x zoom extension on every lens, which gives you a lot of extra punch out of telephoto and macro lenses, especially cheaper ones.
- Great lens compatibility and great picture quality.
- Adequate built-in flash and has a hotshoe for a bigger one if you want.

I "upgraded" from a T3i to a 7DII a few years ago (still the newest Canon crop I think) and the difference is so negligible. I feel like the 7DII works a bit better with my old 100-400mm for some reason, but it's also heavier. I'd promised the T3i to my nephew though so no going back.

You should be able to get the body for one used for around $200.

If you don't feel like dealing with interchangable lenses, take a look into "super zoom" cameras, they're a class of DSLR-looking things with all built-in optics, and frequently have longer working ranges than expensive lenses. I've seen some great bird shots done with them.

Yeah I used to have (well it's still in a drawer somewhere) a 550D which is the T2i I think. Looking back, it took some great photos which aren't really distinguishable from a more modern camera unless pixel peeping. I think the main downsides would be autofocus, ISO performance and dynamic range, and the tiny viewfinder. On the other hand it's cheap as dirt and lasts forever on one battery.

Might be worth reaching out to a seller with a lot of variety to ask if they can make a custom set or get them from their vendor.

Well awesome! Thanks friends! I'll definitely reach out to some photographers I know and see if they know anyone getting rid of some equipment.

Hoping to get help. This thread seems to be an expert in all sorts of oddball requests. I have an electric bike and I live in Minnesota. When it gets <10 degrees, the bike doesn't really start up. I don't know what's causing the problem, because I take the battery inside so it'd probably be 65 degrees. When I do that, the bike electronics will start up, but it shuts down the moment that I try to run the motor. Is this an issue with part of the electronics being cold? Any way to tell what's the cause?

I can't replace the battery because I can't find a model number on there and can't find any that look similar. I suspect it's just a bunch of battery packs inside a snap together plastic housing.

I've read about using a small heating pad on your battery like this:
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32898202264.html
I don't know if that'll help, because like I said, I bring my battery inside. Anyone have advice for warming the bike itself or certain parts where this could be causing problems?

I don't know your specific bike, but generally cold is bad for batteries. When the temperature of the battery drops it's ability to hold a charge falls, often times dramatically. I don't know the chemistry on ebike batteries but I would guess they aren't designed for use much below freezing. You may be able to find a replacement that does better in the cold, although you will always have worse performance.

Maybe the motor's siezing up from ice crystals. Try bringing the whole bike inside long enough to warm it, and see what happens.

Btw heating a lithium battery too much can cause it to catch fire or explode.

Yeah this is a relatively new thing, since maybe october or something?

The problem is that even though they always include the tax now, your friendly authorities might not know this and can charge you again. I ended up paying $10 of tax and fees on a $2 flashlight that way.

This is supposed to work automatically with Aliexpress Combined Shipping or whatever it's called. Otherwise you have to figure out how to do it on your end. YMMV but I could submit the customs declarations electronically but it was tricky because some packages didn't have a tracking number or it didn't match the one on aliexpress.

If it's shipped from the EU, you avoild all this headache completely.
