With Green Bay, they’re talking about it maybe being for a year or two while Rodgers maybe still wants to be there, so presumably it wouldn’t lead to the same level of $80~ million in dead cap stuff the Saints have it.

But the Saints spent 10 years in “cap hell” and managed to extend their window with a HoF QB to the absolute limit, and somehow still fielded a competitive team last year with Jameis and Taysom and Trevor Siemian and QB and nobody catching the ball. I don’t really know what the cautionary tale is supposed to be here other than “winning a second Super Bowl is hard.”
