Perfect timing. depending on your flavor spam your devotion agent on the swarm of agents (or enemy armies, not that assault is very impactful) everywhere to farm a surprising amount of devotion over time. If you want to use autoresolve know that heavy cav, like war bear riders, punch waaaay above their weight in the calculations right now (they're also a key unit on field, too, as you... don't... actually get much anti-larger at all!) the hellpit will be a pretty big speed bump early on because it's a megacity and almost certainly going to fight you, but once you manage that hurdle you're actually pretty much in the clear. west of the hell pit and to the NE side of kislev proper there are mountain paths the demons run down, so planting an army there in ambush will keep you pretty safe. just know that while the NE can stack forests to get to 100% ambush rate with ease (until the enemy agents get bottlenecked and spot you anyway) you'll have no such luck off hellpit, but usually only a single khorne or demon prince army wanders through there. you can also win the support race by just plugging in a church in every province in the eastern oblast, which will also lead to you getting the relations to peacefully confederate everyone else if you choose too. which you probably should given the AI doesn't understand gates still.

My main complaint about the Nurgle campaign is that furies and rot flies are locked behind a 10k building and the final rotflies require a t5 settlement. Really feel like furies could of been on like... a 2k building, especially when soulgrinders are on a 5k building that also gives spawn and forsaken.

minor settlement fights are so agonizing as nurgle. i started a new nurgle campaign and decided to manually fight the glut port settlement fight on turn 1, because i didnt want to lose my plague toads. instead i lost basically everything because the ogres could just effortlessly outmaneuver my sloooow, sloooow units while the towers whittled them down. plaguebearers pathing through a city are slower than loving crew served artillery moving.

Yeah the harpy building is pretty badly placed and costed. I think you start with 1-3 in the pool to summon. Same place I got a random Beast and a bunch of toads with no buildings up yet. Then you get regular events for like "+4 plaguebearers or +3 toads" or you toss a military building(not adv) into minor settlements so your summon pool is constantly passively increasing.juggalo baby coffin posted:minor settlement fights are so agonizing as nurgle. i started a new nurgle campaign and decided to manually fight the glut port settlement fight on turn 1, because i didnt want to lose my plague toads. Capture zones can't move. If they're moving off their points then take them. Towers explode instantly when their cap zone is lost. I outnumbered that one(was just the garrison) and it was a matter of splitting forces. Plaguebearers are glacial but they hold like 3 times above their weight in stalling. I put one plaguebearer per entrance and have Ku'gath, your starter hero(easy starter quest freebie guy) or something like frogs/beast/flyer support it. When the Bearers engage the others join in just a bit after. Mournfang Cavalry were in these ogre garrisons so I'd have the deaths head spend all their ammo on those guys once they're engaged, big and huge targets easy to hit even in a melee and no return damage risk until they run out, I think they auto-engage in melee when the ammo is gone so keep an eye on that. Nurglings are decent speed with vanguard. When you spread units around the AI does too because well, obviously they don't want to leave points undefended. It might be gaming the AI a bit but you're using your numbers and speed advantage to force them to commit to fights elsewhere and slip in units to back cap their stuff. Nurgle has ready access to a spammable -charge/melee. When they're stuck in make them lose, when they're about to engage ruin their charge, now they're even slower to clear your walls of meat. I find settlement fights super easy as Nurgle because you control so much of the engagement. Save corrosive stream for gnoblars, especially the trappers who stand still to throw knives. And don't be afraid to swap Ku'gath to melee and have him waddle in too. His stats are insane and if he isn't getting good firing arcs into a city then fine, he'll just drop the nurglings at his feet(love them animations.) You save it, your file is located there, you might be able to then send it to a friend and have them load it. You can load from turn 1 but they do cost more money and retain their levels. So essentially I could send you my saved greater unclean one and you could use it for your second army in your nurgle campaign if you didn't already save one.

Worst army I've had to fight as Nurgle were dwarves with a oddly huge amount of gyrocopters that could melt my exalted great unclean ones, soulgrinders, kite what little I could field in the air, and still have half their ammo leftover after getting through those, just a miserable experience, I had to take the auto resolve instead of fighting it so I'd lose some nurglings instead of my big boys. They even did bombing runs of my infantry lines, Zhufbar does not mess around.

Yeah the AR on Nurgle is dumb as hell. AR will take 40% health from every unit, manual battle is 5% to everything at most with a few plaguebearers or nurglings losing a few thousand HP from their absolutely sickening pools of HP.

It clearly does not account for our brilliant tactics of blob I'm getting good AR results from a level 30 Ku'Gath with one of each hero, five exalted plague bearers, my huggy boy, the death's head from the start that are still alive thank you grandfather, two plague toads with riders, 3 spider mortars, one great unclean, and four carpets. I didn't even have to fight any of the round 2 battles in tzeentch's realm but I did for the double puzzle pieces. I think once you land a great unclean one the AR winks at you and gestures at the rest of the world. e: And I'm probably completely wrong, but sometimes I feel like I'm training the auto resolve. Muscle Tracer posted:I'm loving the minor settlements as any faction that isn't reliant on gunlines and cannons. It was fun as Kairos to just light up the enemy's chokepoint defenders, it's fun as Skarbrand to just put two bloodthirsters on every entrance and envelop the enemy, and I had a good time with Cathay until I made the mistake of bringing a bunch of Iron Hail and cannons who really struggled to get their eyes on the enemy. I just gave up on Iron Hail Gunners totally in my Cathay run after a while. They are very fun when they actually get a devastating volley off, but they are so short-ranged and so made of tissue paper that the AI will always gun straight for them with any flankers or ranged units, including towers. So I was spending half the battle microing them on the edges of the fight trying to line up the perfect volley, knowing that the slightest brush with any enemy would tie them up and mean half the unit dies instantly. Crossbows are just so much easier to use with arcing fire, huge range, and decent enough armor piercing for most of what you'll be fighting in that area of the map. I quite like their cannons though, on most settlement maps you can at least get LOS on the most relevant tower positions and they snipe them down extremely quick. I had 1 or 2 cannons in every army by endgame for sniping either towers or threatening large SEMs. They seem extraordinarily accurate, it's great fun watching a stonehorn trying to cross the map getting 8 cannonballs square in the face every 10 seconds.

Cathay has a really versatile roster. You get your discount brand spear and bow guys that can be practically free with the right building. Then in tier 2 you get an entirely upgraded set of melee and ranged infantry basically dwarf warriors /quarrelers. Finally at tier 3 you have an even tougher set of counterparts. They have their own version of jezzails and useful artillery (including one that flies). OK cavalry, Magic amplification and the caravan system to round it out. Feels like empire/HElfs but better.

I agree that SLAMBO is kind of my least favorite campaign. The full demon roster is super over powered but if you go to all that effort to make me a self insert fan fiction faction then gently caress let's just go all in. Make me OP. Make me beat Skarbarand 1v1 this is my fan fiction. One easy as gently caress fix: just give me access to equipment and followers. If you allow us to tweak our stats in other ways we will be far more inclined to experiment with our demon barbies so they look goofy as gently caress instead of oh god where can i find MD With that being said post your demons yo Weed Lord is young still eager and ready to please (Khorne apparently) only thirty something turns old but you know what they say about your turn 30s it's the new Dial of the Old Ones these days and Weed Lord is ready to spin that wheel!

Restarted Nurgle, gonna ride it out a bit even though I made a misplay and lost 1 toads and 1 furies(this one really hurt after the smart guy talk I just did about their usefulness) making bad engagement calls. If I push North peacefully and don't get introduced to too many Order factions I figure this'll go much more smoothly. Besides the first rifts take me to Slaanesh for a small loan of one million dark favor so I'll get the furies building up soon. I call this one "Always Manually Defend" Then a two-part play, "gently caress You For Sailing Across The Ocean Because I'm The Player" following a similar manual defense. Alternate title "Yeah AR On Nurgle Is Fine." I feel like the Cleaner Big Lads I got from a camp are gonna go far this campaign. Might keep and protect them all campaign, they're really useful. I threw 300g at the starter Ogre enemies when they were down to 0 settlements to get Peace in a "gently caress off, I'm trying to fight two Dawi factions at once" bid and they still set up a little baby raiding camp in my province. Ah well. I miss the WH2 set-up for Ogres where you could get as many as you want immediately, every camp I pass by seems to cap at 1 Bulls unit. Does it have to be a built up camp? More Nurgle thoughts! I had been wondering why I couldn’t find any special settlement buildings for Nurgle and also the whole heroes tied to trade goods thing and I am now discovering it’s because Nurgle characters in campaign are the most OP characters in the game. Who else can summon a unit into the middle of the whole army and have it still there fighting when it finally despawns? And seriously, I have these two death caster plague ridden on flies kitted out with all the anti mage equipment I can get my hands on and one heals the other one pops an aoe damage and they just sort of bop over to the enemy army and tank like six pink horrors, the enemy army is just running in circles and you just casually murder their Lord and bop on back healing back up to full health by the time you get back to the blob. I wouldn’t drop them alone into a Khorne army but they are happy to play with bloodthirsters They were also name bugged with the same name so now their names are Melena and Hematochezia and grandfather loves them Twigand Berries fucked around with this message at 02:11 on Feb 25, 2022 |

As Kislev you do not need a building to recruit a Frost Maiden, you simply need to train one at the Frost Court. If you have saved Frost Maidens from a different campaign, you can just recruit one at game start, though who you recruit will be limited by your starting cash.

Hi guys, Warhams 2 question: I started an Oxylotl campaign (Hard/Hard SFO) on Vortex map, and I'm kind of underwhelmed by him. Seems impossible to make money as I'm just getting constantly swarmed by Rats, Dark Elves, Vikings, and Chaos rebellions (which wouldn't be so bad if it were not for the Hellcannons). Is it worth buffing Oxy's ranged attack? It seems hard to get him to fire sometimes, as he is so short and can't fire over anybody and I have to micromanage him to plink away at stuff. The missions are easy, I'm just unable to defend my homeland because of the constant swarms and no walls. Should I just abandon the starting province and move somewhere more Dino-Friendly like West Africa or Mexico to use as a base to pursue missions? Does buffing 'Weapon Strength" actually buff the ranged weapon, or only melee?
