But its an effect of treating this under the umbrella of slapfight. this is a debate that should be discussed. everyone has twitter, this thread isnt a dry newsfeed. theres not a lot of novel things to say about this situation, but the push to curtail every big topic that comes up as having happened before, 100 pages ago, will turn it into one. If we're not going to probe people for being okay with war crimes they think are bad, at least make them defend that position. Thats the whole point of Hideaki Koos' Shin Debate and Discussion

But yes, the US is making clear that Russia has a lot of combat power available and appears to be deliberately trying to conserve forces in exchange for some time to put together a deliberate course of action and shore up logistical shortfalls, particularly up north.
