This is admirable, except for perhaps unwisely opening himself to lawsuits with the public declaration. I hope he saved enough money scamming to pay damages. I don't understand the goon hatred.

I just want to say that I enjoy and look forward to all of your updates, NEET translators. I don't reply to most updates because I usually don't have anything funny or interesting to add, but know that I am always here, watching and waiting.

Thanks, y'all. A fan-translator couldn't ask for a better readership. Oh, gently caress! *checks to see if you can get a DUI operating a bicycle while intoxicated* Oh, gently caress!

Japan has much more lenient public intoxication laws. So lenient that there aren't any for pedestrians, if memory serves. Dunno about biking with a buzz, though.

In Massachusetts a bartender once told me that a DUI on a bike there was treated equivalently as a DUI in a car which I partly understand though am largely confused by.

I don't think I've ever considered what the climate truther situation is in Japan.

Bicycles are classified as "minivehicles" apparently. It's definitely a crime, which will at least carry a fine. Japan is a pretty dense country in many places, so it can be easy for a bicyclist to drunkenly wander into people or traffic.

lol, what a great deduction Mr. Policeman: "This guy cannot be drunk, he's riding his bike really fast!"

Hahahaha, if you don't want to do the time then don't do the crime, Tohru! Off to gay baby jail with you, and without your bike. At least you won't be ridden there youself, because even the "hardened" criminals in Japan are polite.

AARD VARKMAN posted:riding a bike in Tokyo sounds extremely stressful to me I mean considering how Tokyo is very well covered by a bunch of public transit options (mainly subways AFAIK) it's very likely that you won't be biking cross-city and riding in the middle of very high traffic avenues.
