i think the sophie's choice between having to risk your child getting severe depression and having to risk your child getting killed or crippled for life by a dangerous virus that is running rampant through the population and children have very few protections in place from is really horrible, and I don't envy anyone who made the mistake of breeding before all this (let alone during it), and I also don't blame them for erring on the side of limiting their kid's social life to try to keep them safe. I don't see anything in any of those posts that suggests callousness towards their kid's mental wellbeing, let alone laughing "in their face" about the prospect of them getting to see their family again, actually they seem sympathetic to the effect the pandemic has on their kid if jokerfied about how society is trying to hard to push them into the meat grinder. maybe the psycho is coming from inside the thread??
