Damn it, this always happens. I think I'm gonna score, and then I never score. It's not fair.

I am getting really tired of grabbing a nice fat looking bulb of garlic only to get home and peel off a clove and start unwrapping it to find out that it’s once again dozens and dozens of tiny little cloves highly compressed together cosplaying as chunky cloves

Yeah that does my head in. Though I tend to keep those little poo poo bulbs and every few weeks I'll douse em in olive oil and throw em in the oven for 20 mins to make a compound butter.

I'm lazy and just get the jar of minced garlic unless I'm planning on something fancy.

I try not to sound like a purist but I know I do anyway but the smell of the jarred stuff does not smell like garlic to me and makes me gag. I don’t mince anymore cuz gently caress that, I just run them through a micro plane quick

That does raise a good question- who's the next veteran actor who's kind of a joke right now that will have a big "he's really good, actually" online reappraisal, al la Nic Cage?

From a while back, but I think I’ve arrived at a partial answer for my own question here. He’s not really washed or a joke at this point, but Jake Gyllenhaal is the closest we have to to a next-gen Nicolas Cage right now.

I did, though I’m going more off of his performance in the new Michael Bay movie, as well as his performances in much of the past decade.

I recently moved walking distance to Georgia State’s stadium and was looking at their schedule and tickets. UNC and Coastal Carolina both play there this season and tickets are stupid cheap. I grabbed some lower level ~40 yard line, 6 rows up tickets for the CC game for $13 each.

Also found some season tickets for $200 for 2 that are in the same area…

It's amazing what they can do with computers these days.

UNC is going to Georgia State? drat, I figured they had the money to not have to travel for a game like that.

Those are good seats for cheap. I wish I lived some places I could go to a football for cheap like that. I’d have to drive out to Dekalb to see a NIU game or something.

Northwestern? I went to a Wisconsin game there a few years back. We got row 1 endzone seats for like $15-20

Yea I could try them. It’s just the stadium sucks so much. I figured their prices were higher since other big 10 teams always gobble them up.

If you go don’t do what I did. I thought oh cool right on the sideline endzone seats for cheap! There was maybe 15-20 ft between me and the field and nothing but a little yellow rope to stop me.

Oh yeah and the sidewalk that was immediately in front of me that people were constantly walking in front of me. Come to think of it maybe that’s why they were so cheap.

Yeah I have a few old computers and tablets around here that I've only held on to because I haven't figured out the right way to dispose of them. The city is supposed to have an electronics recycling program but I'm skeptical about it.

I do have a box of hard drives from machines dating back to 2006, not that I've ever had to fire one back up to obtain old files. But maybe someday...
