Chucking themselves in the bin is pretty intelligent for a cat. People always say they're a lot less dependant on humans to sort them out I suppose.

I'm a twittilliterate so probably stuck myself in a quote cul-de-sac, but to me the vast majority of responses seem to be on Corbyn's side? It's just a shame he said he's 7 out of 10 on anti semitism thus causing it.

It says there are over 90 replies but I can't see more than a few without signing in (which I have banned myself from doing as it's not good for my blood pressure). Yeah sadly the only thing that has a cat in hells chance is an absolute vicious bastard of a lefty... And that may come with its own problems. Corbs was just too nice. We'd have all had amazing subsidised jam canneries and marrow growing competitions, but he was always going to get absolutely bodied.

John Mcdonald has proven too weak. Send me in. Y’all know me. Know how I earn a livin’. I’ll catch this bird for you, but it ain’t gonna be easy. Bad Tory. Not like going down to the pond and chasing blueboys and tommycocks. This tory, swallow you whole. No shakin’, no tenderizin’, down you go. And we gotta do it quick, that’ll bring back your tourists, put all your businesses on a payin’ basis. But it’s not gonna be pleasant. I value my neck a lot more than three thousand bucks, chief. I’ll find him for three, but I’ll catch him, and kill him, for ten. But you’ve gotta make up your minds. If you want to stay alive, then ante up. If you want to play it cheap, be on welfare the whole winter. I don’t want no volunteers, I don’t want no mates, there’s too many captains on this island. Ten thousand pounds for me by myself. For that you get the head, the tail, the whole drat thing

Yeah, he thinks this is all over nothing, boys having a joke - though polls show 60-70% of people think he should be gone already. He's stocked parliment with his own lackeys, so he's happy to just get them to vote to keep kicking the can down the road and hope people forget. Then there will be another fine, another picture, another report, because the man is a walking scandle.

I truly believe that if/when the establishment Tory voters desert Boris, it will not be because of the parties. It will not be because of the corruption during Covid, or the flipflopping or the policy uturns. It won’t be the cost of living, because that’s rishi’s fault and anyway they’ve never quite trust a man like that, you know. It’ll be because of Boris’ lack of appropriate discretion, and I think that’s the worst bit. They don’t care what he did. Boys will be boys, boys and their toys, isn’t he good for a laugh, eh? Funny old Boris! But doing it in public? That’s just gauche!

I think that trump demonstrated that there is not really a very significant number of people who are all in on the conservative political agenda but just don't like it being too coarse, and if anything being wholly open about it is actually very appealing to a lot of people, and can certainly be excused if they go harder on the culture war.
