You're literally making the same parenting mistake as if you tried to force gender roles on your kid. Just let them be who they're gonna loving me. My first kid was a girl and I made a point of not emphasizing what kind of stuff she "should" be interested, and you know what? When she was four, she told me with the iron certainty that only four-year-olds posses, not that she liked princesses, or that she wanted to be a princess. She was a princess. End of discussion. My son is all about dinosaurs. If it ain't dinosaurs, get it the gently caress out of his face. I'm just glad we live in a golden age of dinosaurs (okay, silver age I guess, because of the whole... no more dinosaurs thing) because he knows like ten times more dinosaurs than I did as a kid. Yeah, there was a whole thing when I was a kid about not saying "Brontosaurus" because they never existed, it was a mistake involving putting a skull on the tail instead of the neck of a fossil. Turns out that's all wrong, Brontosaurus was real although there was some confusion at one point about a skull.

That white snake is from Sekiro. If you progress Rya's quest, she gets so despondent over her snakey and murdery origins that she asks you to kill her. If you don't kill her (or wipe her mind with drugs which is her mother's solution), then she goes on a quest to kind of look for herself. I hope meeting other snakey people makes her feel like she isn't alone.
