This is definitely a recommendation. It takes the silliest premise but just commits to it so hard you can't help but love it.

I don't really watch much anime these days. Whether I've aged out of the target group or my tastes changed I dunno, but one of the few seasonal anime I did watch and was pleasantly surprised by was O Maidens in Your Savage Season. A hilariously little coming of age story that was a treat to watch.

I think I was more reacting to the singling out of that character and what I read into that, and posted rashly. My bad that I assumed incorrectly.

Like I do like Golden Kamuy a lot, I think it's a great comic. It's also #Messy and my feelings are #Complicated. Best comic in the "one time a man anally violated a bear" category.

The best way to enjoy anime is to be a few years behind, because then you know if something gets an actual ending or if it shits the bed/ the manga shits the bed.
Which is why I mostly watch stuff I torrented 2005-2011 and haven't watched yet.

Ran and the Grey World

I keep seeing praise for this occasionally, but IIRC I stopped reading because a guy fell in love with a literal child because she can transform her body into that of a teenager, and life's too short to spend on that kind of story.

I have never heard of him being a lolicon.

I'm not going to comment on the manga because that tends to lead to permabans.
