Elephant Ambush posted:So then all the orphans at Red River were injected as infants and accidentally killed their parents when their powers became active? I thought some of them were the kids of supes That's pretty much it, yeah. That was a big thing in a previous season, that parents would let Vought inject their kids in the hopes they got a gravy train out of it. It doesn't always work out. And we spoiler stuff from the latest episode for 48 hours right? This is just from the latest episode so I'll do it to be sure. Did Hughie teleport or just run real fast to save MM? He got super strength, but it seemed like he didn't get the same powers as Butcher which makes sense with how we've seen V work.

It was apparently hard to work out schedules for the actress this season so she has minimum screen time and interaction with the rest of the cast.

I think it was fun to see Stan Edgar as the CEO, but I hope we see him outside of it. Running a multinational is not something you can do with brutality and fear, there are other factors that Homelander absolutely doesn’t possess. And when he is rich and powerful as Stan is, the charges might stick, but you’re not going up the river for more than booking until they have you dead to rights, months and months and months down the line, and only if you lose. Edit: I haven’t watched them side to side, but I think the main difference between Gus and Stan is the restraint. Stan just seems less bothered by Gus does buy anything, and more verbally abusive as a first resort. Golden Bee fucked around with this message at 21:25 on Jun 10, 2022 |

Elephant Ambush posted:I'm happy about this but I kinda hope it's the final season. I agree that if you kill off Homelander then the show really has no point because he's literally the final boss and the entire reason Butcher gets up in the morning. I can't really imagine being interested in another full season of Homelander tormenting everyone before people finally step up and fight him This is significant comics spoilers that may or may not come up and is related to my quote. Butcher is the "final boss" of the Boys comic. His hatred of Supes means he intends to kill off anyone with compound V in their system. Regardless if they are a supe or not. When that's 2% of the planet. Which is 140,000,000 people.. They could easily go that route.

With the way Butcher is making everyone hate him and he is called The Butcher, my money is on him becoming the big bad boy next season. I still think Ryan might be the one to kill Homelander in some fashion though, but don't see him becoming the next big bad if that's the route they take. Maybe Ryan killing Homelander leaves Butcher with like, an unfulfilled purpose he starts taking out everywhere else.

1. Stan is acting completely unsurprised. His Homelander contingency is probably still intact and he has a plan for this. 2. Please don't die Kimiko, you're one of my favorite characters 3. I thought Supersonic was going to be a traitor, not a casualty! Didn't see that coming. 4. I'm not convinced that A-Train sold them out. Homelander could have overheard any or all of the sloppy conversations and could be just putting it on A-Train to keep him out of the plot. Or just because he clearly hates him!

I'm convinced because I figured that was what would happen once backstreet boy told him about the plot and A-Train is a selfish coward.

It was a perfect recreation of something from 2017, but with a trump taco bowl reference, I feel like this stuff is kind of warmed over. But the entire sequence from getting introduced to the idea he’s doing a commercial to the payoff is under a minute, so who cares in an hour long. —- I think this season in particular has a theme of not being able to protect people. Starlight tried to dissuade her ex from joining the team because he would die, then he died. Butcher can’t have a healthy relationship with Ryan. Frenchie can’t stop others from manipulating his girlfriend.
