The best thing about it is that I no longer have to bother with desktop mode for transfers, I just filezilla things straight to where they need to be. This doesn’t sound Christian

Description has links to all the software needed and I managed to do it without a hub or multiple thumb drives. A keyboard is handy but I don’t think you even need that either. So I got EmuDeck set up and literally my whole gaming childhood is now on the Deck, integrated right into the SteamOS UI and it's the most loving amazing thing ever. This is a dream device for me. I'm currently doing a playthrough of the PS2 version of Shadow of the Colossus and it's stunning. I can't express how much I love this thing. I'm struggling to get Xemu running through, I only want it for Conker Live and Reloaded but I'm not sure which BIOS files and poo poo I need because I know Xemu requires quite a bit. The PS2 only needed 1 file so that was easy, but there seems to be a lot more to juggle with Xbox. I've played more retro titles on this than I have actual things on my Steam Library. I also can't wait to see how much of my Switch library runs on this because at this point, why the gently caress not. The only thing that hasn't worked on my Deck is Microsoft Flight Simulator for some reason, I've seen videos online of it working but it just hangs on a white screen for a minute or two before closing.

Amazon does not commingle direct vending inventory and even 3P inventory that does commingle is done through a pretty strict approval process that would allow them to identify bad suppliers. Basically sold by Amazon or FBA and you’ll be fine.

I have posted in this very thread about how my Steam Deck SanDisk microSD card ordered from Amazon was a total fake. So yeah, this is definitely still a thing, was sold by Amazon itself.

Windows installation following a guide wasn’t hard at all, and once windows and its drivers are installed, it works just like a mini desktop. Unfortunately, desktop is the key word there. With the windows microsd plugged into a hub with a keyboard, mouse, monitor, and Xbox controller, it worked flawlessly, but in handheld mode windows is terrible.

I installed Warframe as a "could I slot in a couple missions during lunchtime at work" kind of way, and it's both good and bad. The good: it works flawlessly out of the box. The bad: playing Warframe with a controller is like doing neurosurgery wearing kitchen mittens.

I noticed the left trigger on my deck is mushy. Probably not enough to RMA it at this point as it really just makes the trigger feel kind of bleh. Like plastic is making contact where it shouldn't be. Can't decide if this will be annoying enough in the long run to contact valve about. Apparently this isn't an uncommon problem and it's always with the left one.
