Nonsense there are af most 14 bugs in existence at any one time otherwise the framerate would tank.

Half-Life was built off the Quake engine, so you expect certain bits and pieces to have stuck around into HL2 etc. It's adjusting that's one of them.

"Recently a friend of mine was digitizing all the original film footage that we shot for the "Eat It" video, and he came across this "coverage" take. Basically this is a take where the director just points the camera at the star of the video, who just does anything they feel like doing for the duration of the song. It's insurance, in case for some reason the production runs out of time and doesn't get all the shots they were hoping to get. I'm pretty sure NOTHING from this take got used in the final video, but I still thought it was stupid/amusing enough to share." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WBuszEbobq0

That is interesting! Al did some lip sync, but didn't really make an effort. Also that video looks like it was super cheap to film.

That doesn't sound very likely How would we even evaluate it? Fungi are closer to animals than plants, but if they are having deep thoughts we haven't been able to observe it. If there was sentience it would probably be in the mycelial network, not the fruiting bodies. A single network can persist for years and cover many miles. Most fruiting bodies (mushrooms) pop up, spread the spores, and then quickly die back. It would be more like pulling out hairs than cutting off fingers or killing individuals. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Armillaria_ostoyae#Geography quote:A mushroom of this type in the Malheur National Forest in the Strawberry Mountains of eastern Oregon, was found to be the largest fungal colony in the world, spanning an area of 3.5 square miles (2,200 acres; 9.1 km2).[2][7] This organism is estimated to be some 8,000 years old[7][17] and may weigh as much as 35,000 tons.[7] If this colony is considered a single organism, it is one of the largest known organisms in the world by area, Is the 8000 year old giant fungus thinking? https://www.opb.org/television/programs/oregon-field-guide/article/oregon-humongous-fungus/ quote:Let's begin with a couple of riddles.

I've never understood vegans who don't eat insects seeing as insects are probably not any more sentient than any plant let alone fungi who are probably twice as sentient as any species of insects.

Eating root vegetable isn't vegan because harvesting them causes harm to insects in the soil. If you take the millions of followers of Jainism on their word.
