Arte has recorded a bunch of Hellfest 2022 live performances, but for some reason hosed up the audio on a few of them (compressed like early Kazaa). It's a bit weird. It was on the livestream too - they hosed up a ton of mixes. I am sure it sounded fine in person but whatever was recording messed up. Hopefully the upcoming Wacken streams don't mess up. I hope they put up Mercyful Fate this year.

They don't quite know if they want to be weird tech death, generic thrash, or something core. So they have cool parts of songs and a few catchy bits but nothing really clicks or forms together into something I'd like to listen to a lot. Each dude rules and is awesome when I see them do poo poo like the couch covers for metal injection or guitar tutorials or drum playthroughs.

Revocation rules but they’re just like too precise, refined and polished for me. I don’t know. I like thrashy poo poo when it sounds like the band is playing at a high level but barely holding together while they push the bpm almost too far. Cool dudes though. I support them.

I'm not much into thrash, death, or classic heavy metal and that seems to comprise the bulk of the big shows' lineups.
