GATTACA is incompetently written, and the protagonist is actually covering up a very real heart condition, not just a genetic propensity or whatever. There's a scene where his fake recorded steady heartbeats hit the end of the tape, and the sensors immediately show his actual extremely rapid heartrate and arrhythmia.
