Aliens. Giorgio Tsoukalos has been right all along. He communicates with the aliens using his hair as an antenna.

Among his previous greatest hits was going to a Polish army base at the start of the war in Ukraine, not being let on, asking the gate guards what the Americans were up to in Europe, and being told “I dunno, I’m just the gate guard.” He took a photo of a Polish cargo truck.

I remember learning about all the coolest American war events and how manifest destiny was pretty chill and the US didn't really do anything too wrong with the American Indians (God's will) and also our teacher left late in the school year to go start a new job (Secret Service agent). That was back at the turn of the century. Said teacher has very cool opinions on how brave cops are.

It's a move tied to the $8.6 million the state announced would be used to expand career and workforce training opportunities for military veterans and their spouses.

Like every other "labor shortage" situation, it's unwillingness to pay for qualified labor. Cheaper to throw in some people who have never had anything even similar to training on childhood education. Hopefully no one with enhanced interrogation training is in the hiring pool. The military spouses provision is especially insane. No one in the planning process for this law pointed out that is absolutely not a qualification for anything?

It'll be fine, guys. The kids taught by those vets and spouses will be able to get into the army without a HS equivalency diploma thanks to the new waivers going out. They'll be able to get jobs and their GED in the army.

The schools most in need of teachers are going to be some combination of underfunded, poorly led, loaded with discipline problems, high concentration of special needs or ELL... The ones that most of the actually qualified teachers transfer out of at the earliest opportunity.
