Next week's is going to be just as bad and it's going to come out that Vince wrote that one too. This trend will continue indefinitely.

Not watching but reading the GDT it appears it is still garbage. Supposedly the show was written by Vince before he resigned.

Bruce handled the shows last week, I sincerely doubt Vince, the guy who had Raw re-written the day of had a show in the can for a full week and it was put out unmolested.

It's gonna come out that Vince went on a cocaine-fueled bender and wrote the next 50 years worth of RAW scripts the night before he resigned and HHH is now legally obligated to follow them somehow

I watched about 20 min of raw tonight and gave up after the run in dq of the drew vs theory match but I noticed this too. they seemed less buzz word happy and kinda just talking more normally

wtf Triple H, everybody knows the first step is to tear up the script right before the show, rookie mistake

was this the first time one of Vince's un-torn rough drafts made it to television?

honestly if there was any change going to happen it wasnt the week leading to Summerslam. maybe a month or two though, but serious doubt

Austin Theory is 0-6 since winning MITB. If I gambled on wrestling I’d bet on him walking out of summerslam with at least one world title.

This is like the least annoying thing to me, maybe because they've always done it

It's related to an annoying tendency to engage in hyperbole and also to strip words of their meanings by adding superlatives and it's everywhere. Like how 'head chef' is tautologous because the 'chef' should be the top person working in a kitchen but now everyone who cooks is called a chef so we need to further distinguish it. Or how it used to be that you were a movie star if you were the starring role in a movie but now basically every Hollywood actor is a 'movie star' so we have Stars and Superstars and Megastars and Ultrastars and M-m-m-monsterstars (see: most of British light entertainment in the '90's. Heyo.) and words continue to get stripped of their meaning. Because in an industry where everyone is a star, no-one is.

And lol at Fuckface McJobsalot, the Boy Who Always Loses (gimmick debuting on NXT any day now) who has a losing streak of 0-99 being called a 'Superstar' because a confused old rapist doesn't want to use the word 'Wrestler'.

You have more fun as a follower. But you make more money as a leader.

I tuned in out of curiosity, the show immediately launched into a Logan Paul/Miz brawl followed by the same Reigns promo he’s been doing for 6 months so I watched the last two episodes of The Bear instead

apparently it was still a show written by Vince directly, and the only thing I saw people say positively was that the announcing staff sounded a little more relaxed without Vince directly shouting in their ears for three hours

If they're really just keeping the wheels moving until they can sell (which they may have been doing before anyway) then I don't think anything is going to change any time soon. But who knows.

For the first time in years, I put Raw on my TV. I had it on in the background as I was painting WH40k minis.

The show was trash to be sure, the Miz/Maryse/Paul segment in particular was absolute death, but one thing I did note was that Rey Mysterio made reference in his anniversary promo about how he was able to succeed despite not being the right height or body type that some people thought a WWE champion wrestler should be. I think that was meant both as a slam on Vince, and a reminder that HHH pushed guys on NXT who weren't all huge roid monsters, and now he's in charge.

considering triple H used to bring in talent from all around the world like in the cruiserweight classic, is there any chance WWE actually ends up working with AEW in a forbidden door style event? you know it would make such a shitload of money

it's not like the overall philosophy between black and gold NXT and AEW were that different really
