Did you ever go back to collect the Mumbo token you missed in the watery pyramid? I actually forgot if you need all of them, or can just miss a few in the end.

There's *way* more Mumbo tokens in the game that you actually need, IIRC if you collect every single one you have 40 left over at the end of the game. I'm guessing they had an extra transformation planned and cut it but didn't adjust the skull count they had already placed in the levels, but who knows.

There's also way more notes and jiggies in the game than you need, I think they just wanted to not make it mandatory to collect everything in the game.

Those are actually pretty steep requirement-wise! You need 94/100 jiggies and 810/900 notes as the bare minimum, and 98/100 and 882/900 for the final unlock, the double health. But maybe let's discuss this later, we're still in the middle of a blind LP here...

I heard somewhere that the plan was to have a post-game event which would require the player to collect all of the remaining Mumbo tokens to complete it, but since the source would be the only part of that I could discuss at this point in the LP, and I can't remember what the source was, that's about all I can say. Still, though, if "Eekum Bokum!" isn't enough reward, you're just not predisposed to get the maximum joy from this game. Those who understand, understand.

I like that the final new move in the game is "here's some shoes I guess", though I suppose I don't know any other birds who can wear Jordans so maybe it's a tough thing to teach!

I agree with this assessment. I don't dislike it like I do the next two coming up or Bubblegloop, but it's just kinda there. My favorites are far and away Treasure Trove Cove, Freezeezy Peak, and the final world.

I'd probably need two different lists for ranking worlds by how much I like them conceptually and by how much fun they are to play. But yeah Gobi's Valley is going to be bottom half in both for sure.

Gonna nth the opinion that Gobi's Valley is just kinda there, it doesn't really inspire anything in me, the music is whatever and its not super memorable. Hell, I forgot a lot of what went on in this level until I sat down to edit it.

So one note is that if you jump just as the timer on the shoes are about to run out you get a lot more distance on them because the shoes don't run out until you land. Also now that I've said this, the longest distance on a jump you can get is talon trot to ratatat which will get you more distance than just your standard double jump.
