One, this isn't exactly an empty shell. FSS, LLC has been the actual operating LLC. This is where all payroll and money flows through. They do claim the same bullshit debt to Alex Jones' PQPR holdings, but there are actual cashflows and such. This bankruptcy is done to interrupt the CT proceedings that may end with a much larger judgment against Jones since I don't believe CT has the same punitive damages caps as Texas. The Texas judgment is probably going to be for $150m in compensatory damages as requested and punitive damages are capped at $750k, so even though the jury is going to give them half a billion the judge will reduce it as a matter of law. With luck, the bankruptcy judge on Monday (the same judge as the previous bullshit one!) will say this filing bullshit and no different than the other bankruptcies, dismiss it as a bad faith filing, and ban jones from filing again for a period of time to allow the cases to properly resolve.

He burned a source that had leaked information on Russian interference in 2016 which caused her to be sentenced to jail after the Trump admin went after her. This caused him to get fired/leave his reporting job. After that, he started a sub stack just to shill right wing BS especially about “journalistic integrity”, “cancel culture” and “wokeness”. He regularly appears on Tucker Carlson as the “former liberal (gay man) who realized how far the left and the media has gone wrong”. Also, he lives in Brazil where Bolsonaro hates gay men and Glenn has started promoting Bolsonaro’s agenda recently.

Glenn is also loudly and constantly supportive of multiple hard line authoritarian leaders around the globe that would have him locked up or possibly even executed for the crime of having a homosexual relationship but gets super touchy about the topic and criticises Bolsanaro on it regularly. On a completely unrelated and totally coincidental topic Bolsanaro is the hard line authoritarian leader that has the capability of impacting him, personally, over that relationship. My interpretation of Snowden picking Glenn to manage his media work in publishing the NSA files was that it was an option of last resort. He tried working with other journalists within the media nexus at first, but their reluctance to use encrypted means of communication caused Snowden to think they were just giving him the runaround. Greenwald also refused to use encryption, but another journalist named Laura Portias actually did all the work in getting the files safely to publication. But since Glen is a massive media hog, he took all the credit for Snowden's leaks anyway, even though he only did a fraction of the work and nearly burned Snowden in the same way he later did the Russian inference source. Though even this much might be tempting things. Anytime a topic related to Greenwald ever happens, the conversation stops being about that topic and instead starts being about Greenwald himself. ... There is some overlap with Alex there, in a way. Maybe he sees more of himself in Alex Jones than he really cares to admit.
