To clarify, were they next in line or did they cut in line? Cutting in line is one thing, but just being next in line and taking the next available spot is entirely different. If people are overreacting at people just doing what they are suppose to, then holy poo poo.

Next in line. The rude part here is that you're adding inconvenience to the person at the rear pump, or possibly blocking them in entirely if you're an extra super bad person. It's a way smoother exit when both cars leave at the same time so that's how the community etiquette has built up, and tourists don't know any better so they are constantly breaking etiquette and getting nasty glares cause Costco has $0.50/gal cheaper gas than everywhere else

In Maui it's also much more common for people to back-in park than most places I've been to on the mainland, not saying it's more or less right but that's just how things are. You're in a distant land, learn the local customs loving haole :argh:

The anti-reach around Costco pumpers are my favorite because they will leave pumps open just to not be “inconvenienced” and I’ll drive right around them and be gone before they hit a pump.

So keep doin’ you decorum pumpers

My Costco actually cones off the center lane at the third pump to force people to wait until all three pumps are clear before pulling forward. You may leave your pump early, but you aren't pulling around anyone to get to a pump sooner.

I'm guessing there were lots of near misses involving vehicles and people. We have really bad drivers.

People at my Costco get paid like $26 an hour to pump gas as a minimum and it's one of the most sought after jobs there

Costco is socialism inside capitalist economies done well, I don't know why this model isn't more common of "charge membership, lower prices, pay employees living wage and benefits"

People routinely drive through the center at my Costco but we only have 2 pumps per lane, not 3, and the center lane is rather wide.

Has anyone noticed the tents/other camping gear go on sale yet at their Costco? I noticed some Halloween costumes and Christmas stuff starting to come out last week, so I figured it was only a matter of time.

Camping gear at mine started going on closeout a few weeks ago at my warehouse. I'm in the lower Midwest where camping season is basically April-early October. Clothing and seasonal items are fall oriented now.

After finally getting to take out the sleeping pad I bought there on closeout a few weeks ago, I can safely say that I do not recommend the cascade sleeping pad. Admittedly, I am comparing it to my spouse's Big Agnes sleeping pad that was $100+ new and mine was $29.97, but I'm not a fan. I'm going to keep it for if I get into backpacking or have friends who need to borrow gear but I'll be going to REI to test a better sleep system before my next trip.

It's a pain in the rear end to deflate and pack into the stuff sack with the individual connected pillows rather than one with large/long channels. I am 5'4" 160lbs and it bottomed out on me when I was side sleeping, yet was oddly stiff at the same time. It's hard to access the air valve to let out a little bit of air to make it less stiff because it's on the underside of the pad, not the top. I didn't think the 23 inch width would be much different than the spouse's 25 inch pad but I felt cramped, the extra inch on each side counts.

Isn't Costco just a great place for large cuts, outside of a local connect? I've heard you can get rather large cuts of nearly anything you want at prices similar to a local butcher or even better, depending on your area and connection with the butcher.

I can be both! (but not always)

So I’ve finally finished trying everything in the Costco Protein Bar area and have come to the conclusion the Kirkland Protein Bars are the best when it comes to overall macros (21g protein, 10g fiber, 190 cal, only 2g sugar alcohols).

I’ve tried the Pure Protein, Fit Crunch, Orgain Protein, and the cliff builders. They’re all good in certain areas but they all can’t match the Kirkland’s balance for the calories (not to mention price at $1 per bar).

That said, the Kirkland bars are the least like a traditional snack bar which puts some people off. Much more like an old school power bar. Pure Protein and Cliff Builders are the most like a standard fitness snack bar. Fit Crunch are the most candy like protein bar while still being a protein bar. Orgain bars have the fewest calories but didn’t keep me satisfied for very long.

In short, PBUC.

I got this one a while back. I think I only used it once but it was nice and inexpensive. Excellent reviews.

How did people let him cut in line? Did he just zoom up the middle lane and beat the next care there, or are people just assuming he cut the line because he is pumping across his vehicle? If someone cuts me in line, somehow, even if I'm at the far end of the line, I'm getting out of my vehicle and confronting him. I'll even pull in the gas attendant if I can't get him to move myself. Yes, I will tell the teacher.

Got gas yesterday and mine has the cones blocking the middle to disallow people from driving and wedging themselves in, and the pumps are too close together to really allow pulling out if you're in the middle spot. Thus, it's basically "wait for all three to finish and leave then go in as three"
