I get that the jury can't be told about caps but can the plaintiff side make clear which bucket is for what do the jury knows where to put the money

idk how jury deliberations work, I know the jury wasn't allowed to be told about the punitive damages cap but what are the odds that 16 Texans in a room have all never heard of that rule before this? Were they selected out beforehand? Are they allowed to discuss such a thing in their deliberations?

Seems so loving weird to intentionally avoid telling the jury how the rules of the system work.

They are separate phases of the trial. They are only determining the un-capped one at this time.

He can't be acquitted, he is already guilty

The jury may impose no damages because juries are as a rule unpredictable and/or stupid, but he's still guilty of defamation
