I still can't get over the fact that him saying "This is your Perry Mason moment" was followed by a "but" and then a bunch of nonsense. Like, it's meant paternalistically. "Look, I know you lawyer guys want to have your big lawyer moments, but shut up and listen to me speak uninterrupted".

He was trying to insult him.

...and it actually turned into an actual Perry Mason moment and Jones can only sit there in slack-jawed silence, dumbfounded. It was amazing. Seriously, I don't think it could have been scripted any better.

No, they got sent back with only half an hour to go. They will elect a foreman tonight and probably not get into the meat until tomorrow morning.

jones was pointing out that the lawyer was lying when he said that jones had never sent the texts in discovery.*
"aHA," said jones, "you told everyone i never SENT you any texts!! but i HAD, that's how you have them, i told you the truth!"
jones was the perry mason. this was HIS "haHA" moment. he literally says "MY lawyer sent it to you, but I'M 'hiding' it, oK!" all sarcastic.

Oklahoma City was definitely some runaway joint US/German intelligence op with PATCON, but Jones didn't uncover that at all but was on the right side of it.

I found a recording of the recess in question. It's the one once Alex is finished on the stand. Plaintiff's attorneys are congregating and discussing the texts. You can't make out most of the words but at one point one of them, not Bankston, says "there's going to be months of fallout from this." Bankston is showing them things on his phone, they are laughing really hard about it and Bankston is audible at one point saying, "Yeah, it's pretty good," before he laughs loudly.

So if someone was watching a different stream than the official one, it's possible that they might have caught more words. It's possible they referenced specifics in the conversation because there are a lot of inaudible words before "months of fallout" and "yeah, it's pretty good."

No clear video I could find though.

Not yet. The jury still hasn’t rendered a verdict. They could come back with damages of like $1 or $200,000 which would be pretty easy for Jones to shrug off.

He is likely to be assessed a very large sum of money from this judgment, although it is an open question how much this will "hurt" him in an objective sense, and it is certainly unlikely that losing $150 million dollars will make him shut his chili hole as this is how he acquires more money. This entire trial is about figuring out exactly how much he has to pay; he is definitely going to have to pay something.

There is another case in Connecticut which has not yet gone through and which will probably charge him an additional sum of money. It seems plausible that he would lose the vast majority or all of his personal wealth gained in the last decade or so, but it is extremely unlikely he will be in any way impaired from resuming his Infowars broadcasting, as this mostly requires him to have a broadcasting space and an Internet connection; and he will not lose his home in Texas.

Complicating matters is that the plaintiff's attorneys now have full, legitimate access to a copy of his phone's data and will be able to share things out as they see fit. So if, for instance, Donald Trump has promised him lands, titles, and all the frogs he can gently caress in exchange for his support on Jan 6 2021, he may be in some amount of legal jeopardy.

I thought it was different lawyers but if Alex and Jones hired someone to do a massive background check on Lenny Posner, I am guessing that they also somehow got medical records (I am guessing psych records).

I'm interested in the "what happens when that phone goes to law enforcement? :smug:" line from the lawyer.

Like.. wtf was on that phone. Did they submit it to law enforcement already? Are they going to? Is it evidence that will lead to the arrest of Killary Klinton? :tinfoil:
