I think in general ppl should stop worrying about short probes or lack of probes as some official policy line of the forums staff. Like if you’re being weird in a thread sometimes you may get a bad shoot, and sometimes people will post bad poo poo and go unpunished. Its an Internet Forum we’re not drafting the official constitution of the fifth international in here.

We're still insisting that the mods Free Larry, despite Jeffrey himself saying it's not happening. Unpopular calls are gonna stick with you and you learn to roll with it (ex a thread IK hitting, I think, How are u with a sixer every time someone said "Free Larry") or burn out under the pressure.

When they do, it's pretty obvious, and we try pretty hard not to punish people just because a posting enemy went digging for something bad they said. I wouldn't like the idea of things only being reported in PMs, because as we all know, PMs can get lost and not read, or maybe they decided to PM a mod who's on vacation and it goes unseen for two weeks, or whatever. A report generates an actual visible thing on the mod side that everybody can see, and guarantees somebody is going to see it, otherwise it just sits there annoying the admins. but really, people aren't abusing reports in CSPAM. There are two reports in the reports forum right now and they're both jokes, not serious things people wanted somebody banned over. Today's the 11th of August and if I look back through the forums for cleared reports I can see that since August 1st we've dealt with 67 reports, so about 6-7 a day. That's a steady stream, but a pretty slow one given the size of our forum. I would compare it to how many D&D gets, but I'm stupid and can't count that high.

oh, also the most recent case I can remember where somebody maxed out their reports, they were going apeshit over somebody else trolling their favourite thread and in the reports they were calling us names and demanding to be made IK of the thread so they could rule it with an iron fist, and then like a week later they got banned for something completely unrelated
