Is this for when you’re high up in the trees and can’t light a fire on the drat ground? It’s weird and I can’t really think of a practical use.

I’m a bit tempted by this, I was looking at orrery’s recently for a gift but also kind of for myself. In the end the quality I wanted was too pricey but I was curious enough that I started looking at the workings and thinking I could make one. After a lot of interesting reading (Antikythera mechanism for one) I ruled that out unless I get access to a full workshop instead of my odds-and-ends hand tools.

The only problem is I have this block on buying lego/lego-like toys for myself. I don’t know exactly why but I guess it’s something about still not feeling like an adult - just ask all the gundam I have in the spare bedroom.

I did buy this lego a little while back and it’s a pretty fun fidget type toy for the price.

I got this a couple of months ago. It's a neat set and looks and works great.

Hallo. Ik ben een leeuw.
Are there any other real Chinese brands that sell on AE like Xiaomi does? It would be nice to be able to shop from a storefront page for some things. I'm looking for jewelry that's made of the metal it says it is. Might be a good list to add to the OP.

Ugreen is Chinese, and has an official AliExpress store.

In what way is this better than a campfire on the ground?

Because its so much faster and easier to cut into a tree with a saw than find three stones about the same size, duh.

There is seagull, if that counts as metal jewelry. I have one of their watches and it is great for the price.
Espressif has a store, but it is hard to find and has obviously no jewlery. Probably the best respected brand with an offical ali store.

Ali also has currently a sale including a section for "brands". Though I have never heard of any of them before.
Though as I have mentioned, the sale page skips the usual "do you want to see sextoys?" prompt so browsing it is nws.

All of the similar designed adaptors I have only allow one to be extended at a time. I can't speak to that specific item though.

Mine are closer to being clones of the Skross adaptor though.

If indeed you can extend multiple sets of prongs at once, then that is absolutely hosed.

Tinychoppers are essential items and excluded from any so called rules of ordering from Ali.

Also, recently received two Stranger Things tshirts and was pleasantly surprised by the quality and value. My tween loved them. Fit right according to size chart and good value.

Amazon is AliExpress with a markup and sometimes a domestic warehouse. They sell the same things made in the same place.

Amazon has a much easier return procedure though. I also sometimes buy returned stuff from Amazon Warehouse. I enjoy the randomness like picking up stuff from a flea market.

Yeah I try and get stuff from the warehouse if I can. I did get burned once though. I bought a usb c to hdmi adapter but what came in the box was a usb c to Usb a adapter.

I didn’t return it though because I actually use it more than the hdmi adapter I would have gotten lol.

Not sure if it’s a health risk, but the generic ones I got off Amazon suck rear end compared to the real sonicare heads. Costco has decent prices, I usually get them there.

Finally dove into this thread on a whim. After reading a couple dozen pages, I realized I can probably get some really cheap knockoff Lego sets. Are there certain brands I should look for? Do they generally come with all the pieces, or are some missing as a rule for this price point? And do they come with instructions, or should I just go to the Lego website and use those?

I’ve bought 3 sets and they’ve all been perfect.

They don’t come with instructions but you just google for the set number and it’s very easy to find the instructions.

They are cheap as hell and I sure can’t tell the difference between the real Lego and AliLego

Yeah, my current oral b toothbrush had its battery go caput and replacing the battery involves melting glue and resoldering in a new battery, so my plan was to get a quip toothbrush bc they run on a AAA and then buy the replacement heads off-site because they include disposable AAAs in the head shipments and I have rechargeable AAAs

Aliexpress has quip heads, i haven't checked anywhere else

The brands and stores on AliExpress change regularly to avoid lawsuits so look for the listings with high ratings / good feedback and customer photos of the product.
