any leeway is merely to keep the record nice and clean so that their faces get pushed in on appeal. because we know they will appeal.

If she lets em have a long leash and they still lose it makes it really easy for the appellate court to go :byewhore:

This is a perfectly viable trial strategy that I have seen work. Not often, because the judge picks up on the fact that he or she is being baited and mitigates it, but every now and then the judge snaps and makes a mistake.

Yeah it looks pretty lovely. I think the non-responsive in this context means that the witness is giving an answer that's more than the question asked. So he's objecting that the guy was giving extra exposition, or jumping ahead of the questions. Pattis's objections do look mean-spirited to me, but I'm not a lawyer so IDK how often this kind of stuff comes up.

But like Alex Jones going on about how his pills were made from superior Japanese ingredients would be non-responsive.
