This may sound like a weird comment, but the lyrics from the latter Behemoth albums go into increasingly obscure Christian esoterica, such that you have to have a good knowledge of the Bible to even know what they're even talking about. I mean look at this poo poo: "Begone! Ye prophets ov Eucharist / My praise shall climb to your decline / May rust corrode on Michael's sword / Recession ov the progeny divine" Have had to google a couple of names and events to even get a context for the lyrics. As a result, I read the Bible more and now I'm a full blown Christian. In conclusion, Behemoth is stealth Christian metal. Praise Jesus y'all

Took my daughter to the Aftershock festival in Sacramento yesterday for her birthday. It was loving awesome. Out of the whole lineup, we watched: Clutch - loving awesome as usual Nemophila Falling in Reverse - not my jam, but daughter wanted to see them Apocalyptica In Flames - sounded AWESOME. First half of their set was basically all old poo poo, which ruled. Left halfway through for Lamb of God - absolutely massive crowd. They frontloaded their set with mostly newer stuff, so it was just ok. We left halfway through their set to get to Gwar - loving awesome. They brought out Putin, pulled his hands off, and sliced his saggy man tits off and drenched the crowd with blood. Kiss - never seen them before, but they played for 1h45m and were great. Paul Stanley zip-lined over the crowd and landed on a platform right next to us. All the pyros and confetti cannons were a good compliment to the show. Gene Simmons is a disgusting human being. The camera was zoomed in on him 75% of the time and he was drooling all over himself the whole time. He kept licking and deepthroating the mic. Besides him being a weirdo, it was a super entertaining show despite not being a massive Kiss fan. Good poo poo. My back was in agony after standing for 9 straight hours. I can’t imagine going to all 4 days of this. Getting old sucks.    e: she just posted In Flames singing Behind Space to her IG. Proud dad.
